Révolution chinoise de 1911 à Hong Kong

Xinhai Revolution on Hong Kong stamps

On October 10, 1911, some revolutionary soldiers from Wuchang rebelled and launched an armed uprising followed by many uprisings in other Chinese provinces.
This date marks the beginning of the Chinese Revolution (or Xinhai Revolution) that culminated in the official proclamation of the Republic of China in 1912.
This political movement has indeed led to the overthrow of the Qing imperial Dynasty and to the end of the imperial system that ruled China for hundreds of years.

The Post of Hong Kong has commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution by issuing, on October 10, 2011, a series of four stamps and a souvenir sheet consisting of two stamps.
This is one of the four stamps of this set ($ 5.00) that appears on the cover above, including the interesting FDC cancellation. Thank you very much Trudy :-)
This stamp seems to reproduce a photograph of a meeting in 1911 with Sun Yat-sen, the future first President of the Republic of China.
To note that the People's Republic of China, Macau and Taiwan (or Republic of China that celebrates its 100th anniversary this year) have also issued stamps, on October 10, 2011, devoted to this Xinhai Revolution.
