Timbre EUROPA 2006 en Pologne

EUROPA 2006 stamp from Poland

The Polish Post has called upon the young designer Anna Niemierko to create its EUROPA stamp in 2006, dedicated to the integration seen by young people.
I was lucky to receive recently the nice FDC below issued on May 5, 2006.
Thank you very much Kazimierz :-)

To note that some postal administrations (this is not the case of France) are allowing to send FDC a posteriori after having applied another postmark including the date of dispatch like this one below issued in the city of Kraśnik (south-eastern Poland)...

Anna Niemierko has symbolized on her stamp the integration of Poland into Europe with this character on a tree trying to catch a star.
She has also designed the illustration of the envelope with some leaves of the tree in the colors of European flags (including France).
To note that Poland is a member of the European Union since 2004 and is currently chairing (until December 2011) the council of the EU for the first time.
This is also Anna Niemierko who was behind the project of stamp issued recently by Poland devoted to this Presidency (I've published the FDC on my blog on July 12, 2011). She has also designed the Polish EUROPA stamp ("Forests") issued this year...
