Avions de guerre en Turquie

Depuis 2006, la poste turque émet chaque année une série de 3 timbres représentant des avions ("uçaklar" en turc) ayant été utilisés par l'armée turque depuis le début du 20ème siècle.
Ci-dessous la série émise en 2008 (le 25 avril) sur cette jolie lettre recommandée postée le 13 janvier 2009 du district de Karşıyaka, un des 9 districts formant la grande région métropolitaine d'Izmir.

Since 2006, the Turkish Post annually issues a series of three stamps depicting some aircrafts ("uçaklar" in Turkish) having been used by the Turkish army since the beginning of the 20th century.
Here is below the complete set issued in 2008 (April 25) on this beautiful registered cover mailed on January 13 2009 from the Karşıyaka district, one of the nine districts forming the greater metropolitan area of Izmir.

Le timbre à 65 Kuruş représente le bombardier lourd B24 D, conçu à plus de 18000 exemplaires à partir de 1939 par le constructeur américain "Consolidated Aircraft Corporation".
Il fut utilisé pendant la seconde guerre mondiale par plusieurs armées de l'air, dont la Turquie, la France ou la Grande-Bretagne.
Le timbre à 80 Kuruş montre un Curtiss Hawk II (Modèle 65), une version spéciale conçue pour l'exportation par le constructeur américain "Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company". Ce modèle a été conçu à partir du XF11C-2 utilisé par l'US Army.
L'armée turque fut la première a acquérir 19 de ces appareils en août 1932.
Le dernier timbre représente un PZL P.24, avion de chasse conçu pour l'exportation par le constructeur polonais PZL, à partir du modèle PZL P.11 utilisé par l'armée polonaise.
Cet avion vola pour la 1ère fois en mars 1933 et ne fut utilisé que par la Turquie, la Roumanie, la Grèce et la Bulgarie.
The 65 Kuruş stamp represents the B24 D, an heavy bomber built to more than 18,000 copies from 1939 by the American "Consolidated Aircraft Corporation".
It was used during the Second World War by several air forces, including Turkey, France or Great Britain.
The 65 Kuruş stamp depicts a Curtiss Hawk II (Model 65), a special version built for export by the American "Curtiss Airplane and Motor Company". This model was designed from the XF11C-2 model used by the U.S. Army.
The Turkish army was the first one to acquire 19 of these aircrafts in August 1932.
The last stamp represents a PZL P.24, a fighter designed for export by the Polish manufacturer PZL, from the PZL P.11 model used by the Polish army.
This aircraft flew for the first time in March 1933 and was used only by Turkey, Romania, Greece and Bulgaria.
