Un timbre à 500p a été émis à cette occasion le 11 février 2009, représentant une famille protégée sous un parapluie ainsi que le logo de cette institution en haut à gauche.

Une 2ème oblitération a été apposée à gauche, provenant du bureau de poste principal de la ville, sur laquelle on peut reconnaître 2 monuments caractéristiques de Bhubaneswar : le stupa Shanti à Dhauli et le temple Lingaraja dédié à Shiva.

A 500p stamp was issued at this occasion on February 11 2009, depicting a family protected under an umbrella as well as the logo of this institution in the top left.

Pour l'anecdote, ce fond a été fondé lorsqu'un receveur des postes est décédé dans des circonstances dramatiques, laissant toute une famille démunie...
Ce fond d'assurance-vie était d'abord dédié aux personnels des postes et télégraphes. Il fut également le 1er fond d'assurance du pays proposé à des femmes.
Près de 35 contrats différents, couvrant les risques de la vie, peuvent aujourd'hui être souscrits principalement par des fonctionnaires (gouvernement, entreprises et banques publiques, éducation, armée).
