Bloc-feuillet "Bienvenue aux pandas géants" sur FDC de Hong Kong
Le gouvernement de la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong a annoncé le 1er juillet 2024 que le gouvernement central chinois avait accepté d'offrir un nouveau couple de pandas géants à Hong Kong.
2024 marquait le 75ème anniversaire de la fondation de la République populaire de Chine, ce qui rend ce cadeau encore plus spécial, ces 2 pandas étant arrivés à Hong Kong le 26 septembre 2024.
A noter qu'auparavant, deux couples de pandas géants (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) – An An et Jia Jia, et Ying Ying et Le Le – offerts par le gouvernement central en 1999 et 2007 ont accompagné des générations de Hongkongais.
On connait cette stratégie de la "diplomatie du panda", la pratique utilisée par la Chine consistant à "offrir" des pandas géants en cadeau afin de sceller ou améliorer des relations diplomatiques avec un autre pays. Le cas de Hong Kong, territoire chinois, est donc un peu différent.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced on July 1, 2024 that the Chinese central government has agreed to offer a new pair of giant pandas to Hong Kong.
2024 marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which makes this gift even more special, as these two pandas arrived in Hong Kong on September 26, 2024.
It is worth noting that previously, two pairs of giant pandas (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) - An An and Jia Jia, and Ying Ying and Le Le - offered by the central government in 1999 and 2007 have accompanied generations of Hong Kongers.
We are familiar with this strategy of "panda diplomacy", the practice used by China to "offer" giant pandas as gifts in order to seal or improve diplomatic relations with another country. The case of Hong Kong, a Chinese territory, is therefore a little different.
Le 12 décembre 2024, la poste de Hong Kong a mis en circulation un joli bloc-feuillet (10$) intitulé "Bienvenue aux pandas géants", consacré à l'arrivée de ce nouveau couple, présenté au public comme les précédents dans le "Ocean Park Hong Kong".
Ce bloc-feuillet (conception : Wong Fun-fun, Annie), imprimé en France par Cartor Security Printing, figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus. Merci beaucoup Kevin !
A noter, en complément du TAD Premier Jour, l'application sur cette enveloppe d'un cachet spécial en haut à gauche, représentant ce nouveau couple : An An, le panda géant mâle, fort et agile, et Ke Ke, la femelle, possédant un tempérament doux et docile.
Les marges du bloc-feuillet montrent la vue de face d'An An et de Ke Ke, tandis que le timbre présente leurs vues de profil, soulignant le caractère énergique d'An An et la nature paisible de Ke Ke.
On December 12, 2024, Hong Kong Post released a lovely souvenir sheet ($10) entitled "Welcome Giant Pandas", dedicated to the arrival of this new pair, presented to the public like the previous ones in the "Ocean Park Hong Kong".
This souvenir sheet (design: Wong Fun-fun, Annie), printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, is present on the official FDC above. Thank you very much Kevin!
To note, in addition to the First Day cancellation, the application on this envelope of a special cachet at the top left, representing this new couple: An An, the male giant panda, strong and agile, and Ke Ke, the female, with a gentle and docile temperament.
The margins of the souvenir sheet show the front view of An An and Ke Ke, while the stamp presents their profile views, emphasizing the energetic character of An An and the peaceful nature of Ke Ke.
