"National Normal University 100th Anniversary" stamp set on FDC from Taiwan

Série "100 ans de l'Université normale nationale" sur FDC de Taïwan

Fondée en 1922, l'Université normale nationale de Taiwan (NTNU) a accompli des réalisations exceptionnelles dans la recherche et le développement et dans la promotion des innovations intellectuelles.
Elle a servi à la fois de berceau pour la formation des enseignants et des ressources pédagogiques pour Taïwan et de modèle pour l'enseignement supérieur sur l'île.
Pour célébrer le 100ème anniversaire de cet établissement d'enseignement, la Chunghwa Post de Taïwan a mis en circulation, le 1er juin 2022 (année 111 localement), une intéressante série (2 timbres, tirage : 600000 chacun), utilisée sur cette enveloppe Premier Jour ci-dessous envoyée depuis Taipei. A noter ce cachet rouge en bas à gauche reprenant le logo de ce 100ème anniversaire, également présent dans le fond sur les 2 timbres. 
Founded in 1922, the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has had outstanding achievements in research and development and in fostering intellectual innovations.
It has served both as a cradle for cultivating teachers and educational resources for Taiwan and as a model for higher education on the island.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of this educational institution, the Chunghwa Post of Taiwan put into circulation, on June 1, 2022 (year 111 locally), an interesting series (2 stamps, print run: 600,000 each), used on this First Day envelope below sent from Taipei. Thank you very much George!
To note this red cachet at the bottom left featuring the logo of this 100th anniversary, also present in the background on the two stamps.

 

Conçus par Lin Chun-liang, ces 2 timbres ont été imprimés chacun dans une feuille composée de 20 timbres.
Le premier timbre (8 NT$) représente la cloche et le hall principal du lycée Taihoku (le précurseur de cette université à l'époque japonaise), ainsi que la statue de Confucius, qui symbolise l'esprit d'éducation universelle défendu par l'institution pendant la période où elle s'appelait "Taiwan Provincial College of Education". L'emblème de cette université est également présent en haut à droite sur ce timbre.
L'autre timbre (28 NT$) montre à gauche l'œuvre d'art publique du campus "Big Lion" (homonyme de "Université normale") ainsi que sa bibliothèque et son bâtiment administratif. Ce timbre représente l'esprit de "transmettre un héritage de 100 ans et servir de modèle pendant un siècle".

L'université normale nationale est largement reconnue comme l'un des établissements d'enseignement supérieur complets et d'élite de Taïwan avec la plus grande exposition internationale.

Designed by Lin Chun-liang, these two stamps were each printed in a sheet consisting of 20 stamps.

The first stamp (NT$ 8) depicts the bell and the main hall of Taihoku High School (the precursor of this university in Japanese times), as well as the statue of Confucius, which symbolizes the spirit of universal education defended by the institution during the period when it was called "Taiwan Provincial College of Education". The emblem of this university is also present at the top right of this stamp.

The other stamp (NT$ 28) features on the left the public artwork of the campus "Big Lion" (a homonym for "Normal University") as well as its library and its administrative building. This stamp represents the spirit of "passing down a 100-year legacy and serving as a model for a century".

The National Normal University is widely recognized as one of Taiwan's comprehensive and elite higher education institutions with the most international exposure.
