Le timbre à 0,60€, le 1er émis en 2010 (le 4 janvier),vient compléter la très jolie série courante émise début 2009 (la 1ère en euros) consacrée au patrimoine religieux slovaque.
Cette croix reliquaire de Mikuláš Gallicus de Sienne (42 cm), datant du 14ème siècle, fait partie du trésor de l'église gothique paroissiale de l'Assomption de la Vierge Marie de la ville de Spišská Nová Ves, située dans l'est du pays. Cette église est connue pour son tympan sculpté, l'un des plus beaux de la région, et par son clocher de 87 mètres de haut, le plus haut de Slovaquie.

The € 0.60 stamp, the first one issued in 2010 (on January 4), completes the beautiful definitive series issued in early 2009 (the 1st one with denominations in Euro) devoted to the religious heritage of Slovakia.
This reliquary cross of Mikuláš Gallicus of Siena (42 cm), dating from the 14th century, is part of the treasure of the Gothic parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary of the town of Spišská Nová Ves, located in eastern country. This church is weel-known for its carved tympanum, one of the most beautiful of the region, and its 87m high bell tower, the highest in Slovakia.
L'autre timbre (0,40€) est le 4ème timbre émis (le 29 janvier 2010) par la poste slovaque consacré au président de la république actuel, Ivan Gašparovič.Un 1er timbre avait été émis le 15 juin 2004 pour commémorer le début du 1er mandat du président Gašparovič, le 3ème président depuis l'indépendance du pays après Michal Kováč et Rudolf Schuster. Un 2ème timbre courant a été émis le 15 juin 2005.
Le 3ème a été émis le 15 juin 2009 pour le début de son 2ème mandat. Ce timbre spécial imprimé avec un revêtement doré, émis en bloc-feuillet, a déjà été évoqué dans un message précédent sur ce blog. A noter que ce timbre reproduisait un portrait d'Ivan Gašparovič conçu par Ivan Schurmann, le même concepteur du timbre gravé ci-dessus.
The other stamp (€ 0.40) is the 4th stamp issued (on January 29, 2010) by the Slovak Post devoted to the current President of the Republic, Ivan Gašparovič.
A first stamp was issued on June 15, 2004 to commemorate the beginning of the 1st term of President Gašparovič, the third president since the country gained independence after Michal Kováč and Rudolf Schuster. A 2nd definitve stamp was issued in June 15, 2005.
The third stamp was issued on June 15, 2009 to announce the beginning of his 2nd term. This special stamp, printed with a gold coating, issued in a souvenir sheet, has already been mentioned in a previous post on this blog. Please note that this stamp reproduced a portrait of Ivan Gašparovič designed by Ivan Schurmann, the same designer of the engraved stamp above.
