2012 a été définitivement l'année du tennis tchèque puisque le pays a réussi l'exploit de remporter à la fois la Coupe Davis pour l'équipe masculine et la Fed Cup pour l'équipe féminine, un exploit qui n'avait pas été réalisé depuis 22 ans (par les USA à l'époque) !
La poste tchèque a mis en circulation, entre le 3 et le 7 décembre 2012, deux TAD spéciaux, respectivement à Prague et à Brno, pour célébrer ces 2 victoires historiques tchèques en Coupe Davis et en Fed Cup.
C'est l'oblitération spéciale (conception : Miloslav Bláha) consacrée à la Coupe Davis qui figure sur la très intéressante lettre ci-dessous postée de Prague le 3 décembre 2012. Merci beaucoup Bret :-)
2012 was definitely the year of Czech tennis since the country has managed the feat of winning both the Davis Cup for the men's team and the Fed Cup for the women's team, a prowess that had not been done since 22 years (by the US team at the time) !
The Czech Post has put into circulation, from 3 to 7 December 2012, two special postmarks, respectively in Prague and Brno, to celebrate these two historic Czech victories in Davis Cup and Fed Cup.
It is the special cancellation (design : Miloslav Bláha) devoted to the Davis Cup that was applied on the very interesting cover below mailed from Prague on December 3, 2012. Thank you very much Bret :-)
Cette oblitération représente le célèbre saladier en argent, le trophée remis au vainqueur de la Coupe Davis chaque année, et comporte la mention du score de la finale : 3-2 contre l'Espagne.
Bret a affranchi cette lettre avec 2 timbres personnalisés ("Vlastní známky") autocollants, émis le 24 octobre 2012, au tarif postal permanent "A" (lettre domestique jusqu'à 50g, soit 10 CZK actuellement).
Ces 2 timbres sont consacrés à l'association des collectionneurs de timbres tchécoslovaques ("Společnost sběratelů československých známek", SSČSZ) et à l'union des philatélistes tchèques ("Svaz českých filatelistů", SČF).
Le timbre de droite (tirage : 1800) évoque en particulier le 40ème anniversaire de la revue philatélique "Zpravodaj" publiées 4 fois par an par la SSČSZ et la SČF. 4 autres timbres avec le même visuel ont été émis, avec des couleurs différentes.
L'autre timbre (tirage : 6000) reproduit un timbre tchécoslovaque (vue du pont Charles à Prague) au centre ainsi qu'un timbre courant tchèque à gauche ("cathédrale de Brno" émis le 30 mars 1994) et un timbre courant slovaque à droite ("château de Zvolen" émis le 24 septembre 1993).
This cancellation shows the famous silver salad bowl, the trophy awarded to the winner of the Davis Cup every year and includes the mention of the final score : 3-2 against Spain.
Bret has franked this letter with two self-adhesive personalized stamps ("Vlastní známky"), issued on October 24th 2012, with the permanent "A" postal rate (domestic letter up to 50g, i.e. CZK 10 currently).
These two stamps are devoted to the Association of Czechoslovak Stamp Collectors ("Společnost sběratelů československých známek", SSČSZ) and the Union of Czech Philatelists ("Svaz českých filatelistů", SČF).
The stamp to the right (print run : 1,800) mentions in particular the 40th anniversary of the philatelic magazine "Zpravodaj" published 4 times a year by the SSČSZ and SČF. Four other stamps with this same design have been issued, with some different colors.
The other stamp (print run : 6,000) reproduces a Czechoslovak stamp (view of the Charles Bridge in Prague) in the middle as well as a Czech definitive stamp to the left ("Cathedral of Brno" issued on March 30, 1994) and a Slovak definitive stamp to the right ("Castle of Zvolen" issued on September 24, 1993).
