Le 20 octobre 2017, la poste française a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet (3 timbres Marianne identiques) consacré à la Croix-Rouge, avec une rupture au niveau de la conception par rapport aux blocs émis les années précédentes (5 timbres).
Depuis un peu plus de 100 ans, un partenariat (décret du président de la République en 1914) entre la poste française et la Croix-Rouge autorise l'émission de timbres incluant des surtaxes au profit de la Croix-Rouge (la 1ère surcharge de 5c a été imprimée sur un "Semeuse camée" à 10c).
La Croix-Rouge française est aujourd'hui composée de 54000 bénévoles et 14000 salariés qui viennent en aide aux personnes en difficulté, dans les domaines de la santé et de l'action sociale.
On October 20, 2017, the French Post issued a souvenir sheet (3 identical Marianne stamps) devoted to the Red Cross, with a break in the design compared to the sheets issued in previous years (5 stamps).
For over 100 years, a partnership (decree of the President of the Republic dating from 1914) between the French Post and the Red Cross authorizes the issue of stamps including surcharges for the benefit of the Red Cross (the first stamp issued with a 5c surcharge was the "Semeuse camée 10c").
The French Red Cross is today composed of 54 000 volunteers and 14,000 employees who help people in need in the areas of health and social action.
C'est ce nouveau bloc-feuillet (tirage : 500000) qui figure sur le pli ci-dessus, avec TAD spécial de Phil@poste (plume) mis en circulation pendant le 71ème Salon Philatélique d'Automne, organisé du 9 au 12 novembre 2017 à Paris.
Ce bloc est composé de 3 timbres courants "Marianne et la jeunesse" (conception : Olivier Ciappa et David Kawena), pour usage "Lettre Prioritaire" (0,85€ actuellement), mise en circulation en 2013 et légèrement modifiée à partir du 1er janvier 2016 (la mention "20g" a disparu).
A noter que ce timbre courant gravé a été imprimé en héliogravure sur ce bloc-feuillet (création du fond : Valérie Besser).
Les marges de ce bloc-feuillet évoquent les principes et valeurs humanitaires du mouvement international de la Croix-Rouge : humanité, impartialité, neutralité, indépendance, universalité, volontariat et unité (certaines mentions sont imprimées avec un léger relief).
Comme pour les blocs-feuillets précédents, 2€ de dons sont reversés à la Croix-Rouge française à l'achat de ce bloc-feuillet (prix de vente : 4,55€).
It is this new souvenir sheet (print run: 500,000) which is present on the letter above, with the special Phil@poste postmark (pen) put into circulation during the 71st "Salon Philatélique d'Automne", organized from 9 to 12 November 2017 in Paris.
This sheet consists of 3 definitive stamps "Marianne and Youth" (design: Olivier Ciappa and David Kawena), for a domestic "Priority Letter" use (€ 0.85 currently), put into circulation in 2013 and slightly modified from January 1, 2016 (without the mention "20g").
To note that this engraved stamp was printed in heliogravure on this souvenir sheet (design of the background : Valérie Besser).
The margins of this souvenir sheet evoke the humanitarian principles and values of the international movement of the Red Cross: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, universality, voluntary service and unity (some mentions are printed with a slight embossment).
As for the previous souvenir sheets, € 2.00 are donated to the French Red Cross when purchasing this souvenir sheet (selling price: € 4.55).
