Une partie de la famille grand-ducale luxembourgeoise est à l'honneur à travers les 3 timbres utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous, envoyée le 14 novembre 2017 depuis la capitale du Grand-Duché, Luxembourg.
A noter, en bas à gauche, le cachet spécial de la poste luxembourgeoise émis à l'occasion du dernier Salon Philatélique d'Automne organisé du 9 au 12 novembre 2017 à Paris, consacré à l'aviatrice française, 1ère femme pilote d'essai en France, Jacqueline Auriol (1917-2000), née il y a juste 100 ans.
L'avion représenté semble être un Mirage III, à bord duquel Jacqueline Auriol a battu plusieurs records de vitesse féminins au début des années 1960.
A part of the Luxembourg Grand Ducal family is in the spotlight through the three stamps used on the letter below, sent on November 14, 2017 from the capital of the Grand Duchy, Luxembourg.
In the bottom left, to note this special cachet of the Luxembourg Post put into circulation on the occasion of the last "Salon Philatélique d'Automne" organized from 9 to 12 November 2017 in Paris, dedicated to the French aviator, 1st women test pilot in France, Jacqueline Auriol (1917-2000), born just 100 years ago.
The aircraft depicted seems to be a Mirage III, aboard which Jacqueline Auriol broke several women's speed records in the early 1960s.
Le timbre ci-dessus à droite (0,70€, gravé par Martin Mörck), émis le 22 septembre 2015, commémore le 15ème anniversaire de l'accession au trône de Son Altesse Royale le Grand-Duc Henri, représenté ici avec son épouse (depuis 1981), la Grand-Duchesse María Teresa.
Henri (né en 1955) est devenu le 6ème Grand-Duc de Luxembourg (dynastie Nassau-Weilbourg) après sa prestation de serment solennelle le 7 octobre 2000, suite à l'abdication de son père le Grand-Duc Jean.
Le 3 mars 2016, les 2 timbres se-tenant ci-dessus à gauche (imprimés par Phil@poste à partir de photographies de Carole Bellaïche) ont été émis à l'occasion du 60ème anniversaire de la Grand-Duchesse María Teresa, ambassadrice de nombreuses organisations humanitaires.
Sur un de ces 2 timbres, elle est représentée avec les 2 plus jeunes enfants (5 enfants au total) du couple grand-ducal, le prince Sébastien (né en 1992) et la princesse Alexandra (née en 1991).
