Le 5 juin 2015, la poste norvégienne a mis en circulation une jolie série (4 timbres autocollants - tarifs "20g Europe - 26 NOK" et "20g Monde - 32 NOK") consacrée à différents phares du pays.
Les 2 timbres au tarif "20g Europe" ont été utilisés pour affranchir la lettre ci-dessous, envoyée le 27 février 2020 (je ne sais pas si la mention "A80" sur l'oblitération mécanique "Posten Norge" fait référence à une ville en particulier ?). Merci beaucoup François !
Le timbre à gauche représente le phare de Kvitsøy, construit en 1829 sur le site d'un ancien phare datant de 1700.
Ce phare (27 mètres de haut) marque l'entrée de l'immense Boknafjord, la principale voie de navigation vers la ville de Stavanger et l'intérieur du comté de Rogaland (côte sud-ouest du pays).

The stamp on the left depicts the Kvitsøy lighthouse, built in 1829 on the site of an old lighthouse dating from 1700.
This lighthouse (27 meters high) marks the entrance to the immense Boknafjord, the main shipping route to the city of Stavanger and the interior of Rogaland county (south-western coast of the country).
Automatisé en 1969 et classé bâtiment historique protégé en 1998, ce phare de Kvitsøy est le plus ancien phare en pierre encore en activité en Norvège.
L'autre timbre est consacré au phare de Slotterøy, une tour circulaire en fonte de 25 mètres de haut, construite en 1859 et automatisée en 2003.
Situé à l'entrée ouest du Selbjørnsfjorden (comté de Vestland, côte sud-ouest du pays), ce phare a été une cible des forces alliées pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
Ce phare a été classé bâtiment historique protégé en 1999.
A noter que 2 autres timbres sur le même thème ont été émis le 1er octobre 2016.
