Cartoon character of Večerníček in Czech Rep.

For 50 years, before going to bed, the time of Czech and Slovak children is punctuated by a short and animated program broadcasted on television, with for main character a little boy named Večerníček, which could be translated as "Little eveninger".
To celebrate this anniversary, the Czech Post has released on February 18, 2015, a special stamp (permanent rate "A" for a domestic shipment up to 50g, currently 13 CZK) featuring Večerníček and his famous paper hat.
This self-adhesive stamp, issued in sheet of 40 stamps, was designed by Radek Pilař, the graphic artist Milan Nápravník being at the origin of this character appeared in 1965.

A big thank you Bret for this official FDC above about this stamp, with postmarks from Prague (showing Večerníček on a rocking horse) and a colored illustration depicting him in his car.
At the beginning and the end of this TV program, Večerníček is indeed featured driving a car which turns into a wooden horse and a bicycle.
The little boy told the children "Good evening" ("Dobrý večer" in Czech) at the beginning of the program, and "Good night" ("Dobrou noc" in Czech) at the end.

A special cancellation was also put into circulation in Prague (post office N°1) between 18 and 27 February 2015, designed by Radek Pilař.
This postmark, representing this same cartoon character of Večerníček, was applied respectively on February 18 and February 20, 2015 on the two covers above. Thank you also to Slavek :-)
As usual, Bret was kind enough to send me the First Day document below regarding that same stamp (graphic arrangement by Otakar Karlas).
