"Nikos Aliagas – Millennial Dance" stamp on FDC from France

Born in Paris to Greek parents in 1969, journalist and entertainer Nikos Aliagas has always divided his life between two worlds: France, where he grew up and still lives, and Greece, whose language and heritage remain an integral part of him.
For over twenty years, he has also been a photographer—a pursuit he views not merely as an extension of his professional career, but as an inner necessity.
Through his portraits, landscapes, and photo essays, Nikos Aliagas seeks less to document the world than to capture its unseen essence. His photographs focus on faces etched by time, simple gestures, vanishing trades, landscapes steeped in memory, and the traces left by successive generations. His gaze lingers on what remains when the noise of the world fades away.
This artistic journey has led to numerous exhibitions and publications, including *L'Épreuve du temps*  - a true photographic manifesto centered on memory, the passing down of heritage, and human dignity.

His photographs have also been exhibited at numerous cultural institutions in France, Greece, and abroad.
Greece holds a special place in his photographic world. Among the recurring motifs in his work, olive trees occupy a central position. Since his childhood in the Missolonghi region, he has regularly returned to these ancient trees; their trunks, sculpted by the wind and the seasons, appear to him as living archives.
On June 15, 2026 (general sale), the French Post issued a stamp (€3.10; print run: 448,200)—printed in sheetlet of nine—featuring a photograph by Nikos Aliagas titled "Danse millénaire" ("Millennial Dance").
This stamp was used on the cover above, with First Day cancellation from Paris dated June 11, 2026.
The postmark depicts the Owl of Athena, a symbol of Greece, knowledge, and wisdom.
This photograph, showing two intertwined ancient olive trees, pays tribute to the olive tree as a universal symbol of peace, the passing on of heritage, and resilience. It also celebrates a particular vision of the Mediterranean: a world where deep roots never hinder openness to others.
Notably, this stamp incorporates augmented reality via a QR code; scanning it with Philaposte's dedicated app (Phil'appli) brings the image to life and allows the viewer to hear the artist's voice.

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp on FDC from Cyprus

The year 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps, a philatelic initiative launched to strengthen relations between European countries and promote lasting peace and unity.
First issued in 1956 by six nations – Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, founding members of the European Union – this program has gradually expanded to include 53 participating postal organizations.
Last year, PostEurop's Stamps and Philately Working Group organized an internal competition to choose a common design on the theme "70th Anniversary of the EUROPA Stamp: United by...".
Guided by shared values such as communication, innovation, cooperation, and common roots, the members submitted 15 creative proposals, each presenting a unique vision.
Following a vote by 50 postal organizations, the Finnish Post (Posti) won the competition, ahead of the Post of Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo) and the Post of Luxembourg.
The design by artist and graphic designer Klaus Welp will therefore be featured on the EUROPA stamps issued in 2026.

On May 11, 2026, Cyprus Post released a unique EUROPA stamp featuring the design by Klaus Welp.
This stamp (€0.64; layout by Melanie Efstathiadou; print run: 55,000), printed in sheetlet of eight, appears on the official FDC (print run: 3,500) above.
This stamp was also issued in a booklet (print run: 6,000 booklets) containing eight stamps, each with one imperforate edge.
This EUROPA stamp combines abstract and symbolic elements. The diagonally ascending dotted line represents both the perforation of a stamp and the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent.
The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colours from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
It is worth noting that Cyprus issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1962, reproducing the common design selected for the year 1961 (created by the Dutch artist Theo Kurpershoek): a peace dove composed of 19 smaller doves, representing each of the 19 CEPT members at the time.

"Sultan's Wedding Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee)" stamps on FDC from Brunei Darussalam

On July 29, 1965, Hassanal Bolkiah (born in 1946), then Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam, married Saleha binti Mohamed Alam bin Abdul Rahaman (born in 1946).
The religious wedding ceremony (*Akad Nikah*) took place at the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, followed by a reception that same evening at Istana Darul Hana—the official residence of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III (father of the current Sultan, Hassanal Bolkiah) from 1951 to 1986.
Three days of festivities followed, including banquets at Istana Darul Hana and Istana Edinburgh.
It is worth noting that Saleha's father, Pengiran Anak Mohammad Alam, and the Sultan's mother, Queen Damit, were siblings; thus, Saleha and Hassanal Bolkiah were first cousins.
Queen Saleha and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah have had two sons—including Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah (born in 1974)—and four daughters.
The couple now resides at Istana Nurul Iman, the official residence of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, which was completed in 1984.

On January 26, 2026, Brunei Darussalam Post put into circulation a stamp (BND 0.60) commemorating the wedding anniversary (60 years - diamond jubilee) of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Queen Consort Saleha.
This stamp, featuring a recent portrait of the couple and printed in sheet of 20 (including elements in gold ink), was used in a pair on the official First Day Cover above. Many thanks, Andy!
It is worth noting that a souvenir sheet with a high nominal value (BND 60) was also released.
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah subsequently married Mariam Abdul Aziz in 1981 and Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim in 2005. He had four children from his second marriage and two from his third. As both of these marriages ended in divorce, Saleha remains the only wife to whom he is currently married.
Further stamps will likely be issued in 2026 to celebrate the 80th birthdays of the Sultan and his wife, Saleha.

"190 Years of Harness Racing" souvenir sheet on FDC from France

Harness racing is a type of equestrian sport in which trotting horses pull a sulky, guided by a driver. These horses must trot as fast as possible to reach the finish line first without ever breaking into a gallop; doing so results in disqualification.
The first trotting races in France were organized in 1836 through the initiative of Ephrem Houël, an officer of the National Stud Farms, with the assistance of the Cherbourg municipality.
Houël proposed organizing races for local horses, mandating a trotting gait to create the spectacle of a tight, grouped competition and avoid the scattering effect seen with galloping horse packs.
On September 25 and 26, 1836, the municipality of Cherbourg became the first to host this equestrian event, immediately drawing a massive crowd from both the town and the surrounding countryside. The success of these events prompted cities such as Caen, Dieppe (1837), Saint-Lô, Angers, Boulogne-sur-Mer (1838), Langonnet (1839), and many others to follow suit.

In 1852, there were 26 trotting races held in France.
The first trotting race bulletin was published in 1867. Serving as the official journal of the sport, it continues to be published weekly to this day.
In 1873, the Paris-Vincennes racecourse drew a crowd of over 100,000 people. In 1920, the now-renowned Prix d'Amérique (named in honor of the Allies) was held there for the first time.
Even today, with 155 race meetings and 1,254 races annually, the Paris-Vincennes racecourse remains the flagship venue for harness racing.
On June 15, 2026 (general sale), the French Post put into circulation a souvenir sheet (€2.25; print run: 200,000) commemorating the 190th anniversary of trotting races in France.
Designed by heritage architect Wandrille Thieulin (layout by Emmanuel Vedrenne), this souvenir sheet was used on the cover above, with First Day cancellations from Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (50 - Manche department), dated June 11, 2026.
It is worth noting that the preview sale of this souvenir sheet also took place in Paris and Boissy-Saint-Léger.
I quite like the stamp's graphic design - featuring stylized horses in motion - and the contrast between black and red as well as the enthusiasm of the spectators watching these trotting races, featured in the margins.

Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay and Shenzhen 2011 Summer Universiade on cover from China

On March 24, 2008, China Post issued a two-stamp series dedicated to the Olympic torch relay. The relay began—as is customary—in Olympia, Greece, on March 25, 2008, and concluded 130 days later, on August 8, 2008, in Beijing during the opening ceremony of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
The tradition of the Olympic torch relay dates back to the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
The 2008 Olympic flame traveled through more than 130 cities across five continents (including Paris on April 7), covering a total distance of nearly 137,000 kilometers. During its journey, the Olympic torch was notably carried to the "Roof of the World," Mount Everest.
One of the two stamps in the series (a 3-yuan stamp) appears to depict the silhouette of Mount Everest with the Olympic torch in the foreground.
The Olympic torch, the shape of which is inspired by traditional Chinese scrolls, features a pattern known as the "auspicious cloud," commonly found on ancient pottery. Designed by the Lenovo Group and made from an aluminum-magnesium alloy, it weighs slightly less than 1 kg and measures 72 cm in length.

These two stamps (designed by Wang Huming), which were also issued as part of a souvenir sheet, have been used on the right side of the cover above, sent from Beijing on May 25, 2026. Many thanks, Ruinan!
The other stamp (1.20 yuan) depicts Huānhuan—one of the five mascots (*Fuwa*) of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, associated with the element of fire—carrying the Olympic flame, with the lighting ceremony in Olympia shown in the background.
The other two pairs of stamps on the left (designed by Xiao Yong) were issued on May 4, 2011, to announce the 26th Summer Universiade, held in Shenzhen from August 12 to 23, 2011.
The Universiade's logo, known as "Happy U," is featured on the bottom-right stamp (1.20 yuan) and appears in a smaller size on all four stamps; it consists of a dynamic "U" shape made of multicolored dots, evoking an open, welcoming cup.
The Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center stadium, inaugurated in 2011 for the event, is depicted on the top-right stamp (1.20 yuan); the stadium hosted the football and athletics competitions.
The mascot "UU"—a smiling "U" figure—appears on one of these four stamps (1.20 yuan), while the final stamp features the event's motto, "Start Here," alongside an image of a torch.
At this Summer Universiade—an international multi-sport event organized every two years by the International University Sports Federation (FISU)—China dominated the medal table by a wide margin, securing a total of 146 medals ahead of Russia, South Korea, and Japan.

"550th Anniversary of the Battles of Grandson and Murten" stamp on FDC from Switzerland

The Burgundian Wars (1474-1477) pitted Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy, against the Swiss Confederation of the Eight Cantons, the Duchy of Lorraine, and the Lower League—all allies of King Louis XI of France.
Within the context of these Burgundian wars, the battles of Grandson (1476) and Murten (1476) marked a turning point in European history.
What began as a series of regional clashes between the Confederates and Duke Charles the Bold indeed evolved into a political upheaval: Burgundy—previously one of Europe's most influential powers—began to disintegrate, while the Confederates consolidated their standing as a military and political force.
On March 2, 1476, Charles the Bold's troops clashed with the Confederates near Grandson. Although the battle was not particularly bloody in military terms, his forces lost their entire encampment, artillery, and legendary treasury. This defeat weakened the army both strategically and symbolically, marking the beginning of the decline of the great Burgundian power.
The decisive battle took place near Morat on June 22, 1476. Charles the Bold suffered a crushing defeat: his army—which was numerically superior and the most modern in Europe at the time—was repelled, encircled, and annihilated by the Confederate troops.

To this day, the Battle of Murten is considered one of the most significant events in Swiss history: it strengthened the cohesion of the Confederates and fostered the early emergence of a sense of belonging to an independent political community.
The battles of Grandson and Murten upended the balance of power. Burgundy—which for decades had been a political player positioned between France and the Holy Roman Empire—lost military clout, prestige, and stability. Meanwhile, the Confederation firmly established itself as a military power, suddenly renowned for its disciplined infantry, resilient formations, and unexpected success against the Burgundians.
The Battle of Nancy in 1477 marked the final act: with the fall of Charles the Bold, Burgundy disintegrated and Europe was reshaped.
On May 7, 2026, Swiss Post issued a beautiful panoramic stamp (CHF 1.20) commemorating the 550th anniversary of the battles of Grandson and Murten; it appears on the cover above, sent from Grandson (Canton of Vaud) on the first day of issue. Many thanks, Jürgen!
The pictorial special postmark depicts Grandson Castle (the second-largest castle in Switzerland), which played a key role during the Battle of Grandson.
This stamp (design: Stefanie Maurer, Mathias Peter) features, on the left, the siege of Grandson Castle as recounted in the Swiss chronicle by Christoph Sylberisen (1572) and, on the right, a detail from the *Panorama of the Battle of Murten* - a circular oil painting measuring 10 by 100 meters and considered a work of national importance - by Louis Braun (1893-1894).
Jürgen used other definitive stamps to reach the current rate for a shipment within Europe up to 20g (CHF 1.90), in particular two stamps (CHF 0.25, CHF 0.45) belonging to the nice definitive series (12 stamps, design: K. Oberli, engraving: M. Muller) issued between 1986 and 1989, featuring different stages of mail processing and transport, in a contemporary or older way.

"40 years of the Awarding of the Charlemagne Prize to the People of Luxembourg" m/s on FDC from Luxembourg

On May 8, 1986, the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen was awarded not to a single individual, but to the entire people of Luxembourg.
With this decision, the Charlemagne Prize Board of Directors paid tribute to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg's exceptional contribution to European unity—a contribution driven by broad-based social momentum spanning several generations.
As one of Europe's smallest nations, Luxembourg indeed played a major role in the integration process from the very beginning, notably as a founding member of the European Communities and, subsequently, as a key hub for European institutions.
The close intertwining of national and European identities has shaped the politics and economy of this multicultural country situated at the heart of Europe, as well as the daily lives of its people.
The Charlemagne Prize—presented at the time to Grand Duke Jean on behalf of all Luxembourgers—thus recognized the commitment of both the country and its people to a united Europe.

Established in 1950, the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen is awarded annually to individuals or institutions that have made exceptional contributions to promoting European unity and cooperation among the peoples of Europe.
It is considered one of the most significant awards recognizing commitment to and understanding within Europe.
On May 5, 2026, the Luxembourg Post issued a miniature sheet (€1.70, print run: 20,000) commemorating the 40th anniversary of the awarding of the International Charlemagne Prize to the people of Luxembourg.
Designed by Annick Kieffer, this miniature sheet is present on the official First Day Cover above, with postmarks from Luxembourg.
The stamp depicts the medal awarded in 1986, bearing the German inscription "The people of Luxembourg: a model and a testament to perseverance on the path to European unity", with the yellow ribbon forming the number "40".
The margin design is based on a period photograph showing the Charlemagne Prize being presented to Grand Duke Jean by the Mayor of Aachen, Kurt Malangré.
Two other prominent Luxembourgers have also received this prestigious Prize: Joseph Bech in 1960 and Jean-Claude Juncker in 2006.

"The Little Prince - 80th anniversary (French edition)" stamp on FDC from France

The novella "The Little Prince", published in 1943 (in the United States) by the famous French writer and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900-1944), is sometimes considered as one of the most famous books in the world, with the Bible and "Capital" by Karl Marx ...
Under the semblance of a children's fairy tale, "The Little Prince" is intended as a poetic and philosophical tale with a simple writing emphasizing the absurd behavior of adults.
When the Little Prince leaves his asteroid B-612, he discovers on Earth the loneliness and absurdity of life and tells his story to an aviator who, following an engine failure, had to crash-land in the Sahara Desert...

"If you please... draw me a sheep !", "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye" are some of the sentences taken from this book, today being part of our collective imagination.
Surprisingly, few postal administrations have previously issued stamps featuring this character of The Little Prince: Israel, Croatia, New Caledonia, Poland, Equatorial Guinea, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Argentina, Bulgaria, Serbia, or France (1998, 2021).
On June 15, 2026 (general sale), the French Post issued a new stamp (€2.25; print run: 705,000)—printed in a sheetlet of 15 stamps with illustrated margins—to mark the 80th anniversary of the first French edition of *The Little Prince*, the most translated book in the world, boasting over 650 official translations!
This stamp (designed by Studio Pekelo), featuring an original illustration of the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was used on the cover above with First Day cancellation from Paris dated June 11, 2026.

"100 Years of the Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău Airmail Service" joint stamp set with Romania, on FDCs from Moldova

Following the 1920 Peace Treaty of Trianon, Romania established the world's first transcontinental airline for the regular transport of passengers, freight, and mail on April 21, 1920: the "Compagnie franco-roumaine de navigation aérienne" (CFRNA).
CFRNA's flight schedule included the Paris - Constantinople route, with planned stops in Strasbourg, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Arad, Belgrade, and Bucharest.
In 1925, the city of Galați was designated as Romania's first domestic destination. A 62-day experiment was conducted to assess the profitability of flights between Bucharest and Galați using French-made Potez XV aircraft.
On September 15, 1925, a Potez XV aircraft, carrying several officers from Bucharest, transported mail that had been handed over in Chișinău at a postal counter set up within the grounds of the General Exhibition of Bessarabia (August 15 - September 30, 1925).

On June 24, 1926, domestic air service on the Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău route was officially inaugurated in the presence of King Ferdinand, the royal family, and the diplomatic corps.
Havilland DH 9 aircraft manufactured in the United Kingdom were used. The Paris Mint celebrated the event by striking a silver-plated bronze medal.
The organization and operation of modernized airmail transport were further expanded on September 1, 1928, with the introduction of the Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău - Cernăuți route. To mark the occasion, the General Directorate of Posts, Telegraphs, and Telephones (PTT) issued the first stamps bearing the inscription "Poșta Aeriană" ("Air Mail"); known among philatelists as the "C. Raiu" issue, this is considered the beginning of Romanian aerophilately.
On June 24, 2026, the postal administrations of Romania and Moldova released an interesting joint issue (2 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet; design by George Ursachi, Eugeniu Verebceanu) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the inauguration of this first Bucharest - Galați - Chișinău airmail service.

A big thank you, Nicolae, for sending these two official First Day Covers—featuring the two stamps and the souvenir sheet from this joint issue, respectively—with postmarks from Chișinău (MD-2012)!

The souvenir sheet (13.50 MDL; print run: 25,000) depicts a mail transport aircraft operated on this postal route starting in 1926, along with a correspondence envelope and an illustrated flight route.
A postal imprint used to commemorate the inauguration of this airmail service is reproduced on the left side of both envelopes.
The two stamps above (print run: 25,000 each) have been printed each in sheetlets containing 8 stamps and 4 labels.
The stamp above on the left (5 MDL) depicts a Havilland DH 9 aircraft flying over above a viaduct over a landscape of Moldova, en route to Galați while the other stamp (12 MDL) features the same design as the souvenir sheet.

The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP - International Federation of Philately) was founded on June 18, 1926, in Paris by representatives from six countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp on FDC from Germany

On May 7, 2026, the Deutsche Post issued a unique EUROPA stamp featuring the design by Klaus Welp.
This stamp (€0.95; layout by Hanno Schabacker), printed in sheetlet of 10, was used on the cover above with a blue First Day cancellation from Bonn. Thank you very much, Jens!

Jens used two other identical stamps (€0.15), issued on August 1, 2024, as part of the current definitive series entitled "Welt der Briefe" ("A World of Letters", design: Bettina Walter), launched in December 2021, depicting here a peacock with a feather's train made of envelopes.

"150 years of the UPU 1874-2024" stamp on FDC from Lithuania

In 2024, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) celebrated its 150th anniversary. On October 9, 1874, 22 countries gathered to sign the Treaty of Bern, creating the General Postal Union, which would later become known as the Universal Postal Union (from 1878).
150 years later, the UPU now unites the postal networks of 192 member countries, having realized its founders' vision of establishing a single postal territory to serve people everywhere.
The UPU's theme for its 150th year, "150 years of enabling communication and empowering peoples across nations", recognizes this accomplishment, and reinforces its commitment to serve peoples for the decades and centuries to come.
Throughout 2024, the UPU organized a series of events and campaigns in celebration of its rich past, dedicated present and promising future, in particular using the hashtag #UPU150 on social media.

Since the 1978 tournament (Argentina), the Monaco Stamp Office has issued a stamp or a series of stamps for every football World Cup.
On April 30, 2026, a single stamp was released (as was the case in 2014, 2018, and 2022) for the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
This stamp (€2.25; print run: 40,000; design: Clara Mazgaj)—simply titled "Football 2026"—bears no mention or logo of the competition itself, displaying only the start and end dates...
This stamp, printed in sheetlet of ten, appears on the official First Day Cover below, which features an illustration of the Prince's Palace on the left.

This stamp depicts a soccer ball with a starry sky in the background, along with three iconic landmarks from the host countries: the Statue of Liberty in New York—where the final match between Spain and Argentina is taking place tonight—the CN Tower in Toronto (built in 1976, standing 553 meters tall), and the Pyramid of Kukulcán. The latter is a pre-Columbian monument located at Chichén Itzá in the Mexican state of Yucatán, an archaeological site designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup was the first to be hosted by three countries and the first to feature 48 teams, up from the previous 32.
It is worth noting that the national football team of Monaco (not to be confused with the club "AS Monaco" playing in the French football championship) is not a member of FIFA or UEFA and has thus never played to qualify for a FIFA World Cup...

EUROPA 2026 (70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps) stamp set on cover from Croatia

On May 8, 2026, the Croatian Post issued a two-stamp series dedicated to this 70th anniversary of the EUROPA stamps; both feature the EUROPA logo—one reproducing Klaus Welp's design and the other Croatia's entry for thi competition.
These two stamps (permanent "B" rate - currently €1.70; print run: 35,000 each), printed in sheets of 20, have been used on the cover above, recently sent from Rijeka. Many thanks, Dragan!
The common EUROPA stamp (on the right) combines abstract and symbolic elements.
The other stamp, designed by Dean Roksandić, illustrates innovations (wind turbines, electric cars...) that symbolize technological progress and the pursuit of environmental protection, featuring the yellow and blue colors of the European Union flag.
It is worth noting that Croatia issued its first EUROPA stamps in 1992 (marking 500 years since the discovery of the Americas), becoming the first country from the former Yugoslavia to do so.

"Uruguay-Peru Friendship Day" stamp on FDC from Uruguay

On May 30, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Montevideo, the Uruguayan postal service officially launched a stamp celebrating the inaugural Uruguay-Peru Friendship Day, the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries having occured on May 16, 1862.
During the ceremony, it was noted that the bonds of friendship uniting Peru and Uruguay are rooted in a shared past and a framework of bilateral cooperation, regional integration, and mutual respect. It was also announced that a documentary exhibition on bilateral relations - the result of a joint effort by the historical archives of both foreign ministries - was being organized.
Peru and Uruguay share fundamental values such as the defense of democracy, respect for human rights and international law, and a commitment to regional integration.
Regarding postal matters, the event recalled Peru's participation in the first South American Continental Postal Congress, held in Montevideo in 1911, which led to the creation of the current Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal (UPAEP).

This stamp (90 UYU; design: Alejandro Muntz; print run: 5,010), dedicated to this Uruguay-Peru Friendship Day, was used on the First Day Cover above, sent from Montevideo on April 24, 2026. Many thanks, Jorge!
The stamp features the flags of both countries in the center, alongside stamps from their respective first local issues.
On the left, notably, is the "Diligencia blue" (60 centavos), part of the very first series (three stamps) issued in Uruguay on October 1, 1856. This private series (lithograph by Lucian Mége from the sun of the national coat of arms) was printed in order to postage the postal correspondence transported by mail coach.
The stamp on the right depicts one of the first two stamps used in Peru, starting in 1857. The newly established Republic of Peru indeed began using lithographed stamps in 1857; these were initially supplied by the Pacific Steam Navigation Company (PSNC), a British shipping service serving mail and trade at Western South America. a British shipping service serving mail and trade in western South America.
The Peruvian government authorized, as essay, using only two PSNC stamps (1 real blue and 2 reales red) for mail in the Peruvian postal service, from December 1, 1857.

Gastronomy, symbols of love, pets, World Post Day stamps on cover from Thailand

The year 2025 marked a turning point for Thailand, which now holds a prominent place on the international culinary stage. Michelin Guide inspectors indeed awarded three stars to the Bangkok restaurant "Sorn", led by the talented, self-taught chef-owner Supaksorn "Ice" Jongsiri.
In addition, the country boasts seven two-star restaurants, 28 one-star establishments, 156 Bib Gourmand venues, and 270 restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide.
On October 16, 2025, Thailand Post issued a lovely series of four stamps (5 THB; designed by Euamporn Supharoekchai) dedicated to Thai food—specifically featuring dishes from the menu at this "Sorn" restaurant.
Three of these stamps have been used on the cover below, sent from Bangkok on June 18, 2026. Many thanks, Thein!
These three stamps depict (from left to right) a sour yellow curry, a beef green curry, and a rice salad.

Through these dishes, Chef Supaksorn Jongsiri immerses us in the heart of Southern Thai culinary culture. Blending tradition with modernity, and refinement with evolution, his perfectly paced menu offers a range of exhilarating flavors, all in perfect harmony. Whether it is Tapi River prawns, Phuket lobster, or Andaman squid, the ingredients are simply exceptional.
This cover originated as the First Day Cover for the "Symbol of Love" stamp (10 THB, designed by Patipol Sorging), issued on February 6, 2026.
Featuring a depiction of Cupid, this stamp is part of a series launched in 2011 (unless I am mistaken) aimed at encouraging philatelic activities.

On the other side of the envelope above, Thein has used the fourth stamp from this "Thai Food" set on the right, featuring a crab dish with chili sauce.
The "Symbol of Love" stamp at the top (10 THB, designed by Euamporn Supharoekchai) was issued on February 7, 2023. It depicts a vibrant, colorful rainbow rose, symbolizing the various forms of love.
The stamp at the bottom (3 THB) is the joint issue for "World Post Day – Post for Plane", released on October 9, 2022; it conveys a simplified visual message about the postal service's contribution to an environmentally sustainable future.
The souvenir sheet on the left (25 THB) was issued on February 20, 2024, to mark "Love Your Pet Day".
This numbered souvenir sheet (print run: 300,000), designed by Uamporn Suparerkchai, is special because it was printed (in France by Cartor Security Printing) on flocked paper with a velvety texture!
