Le 24 janvier dernier, la Poste de Finlande a fêter de façon originale la Saint-Valentin !
Elle a en effet émis un bloc-feuillet assez particulier constitué de 5 vignettes auto-collantes au tarif "1st class" (0,70€ actuellement). Par provocation, je n'emploie pas le terme "timbre" car ceux-ci sont non-dentelés et épousent la forme des illustrations. Ils ont bien évidemment un réel pouvoir d'affranchissement.
Ce bloc appârait sur le joli FDC ci-dessous, envoyé par Hannele, merci beaucoup :-) Je vous en montrerai d'autres très bientôt !
Ces 5 timbres représentent chacun un moyen original de communiquer un message d'amour. De haut en bas : un avion tirant une bannière en forme de coeur, un pigeon voyageur, des messages de fumée, des SMS ou une bouteille à la mer :-)
On 24 January this year, the Finland Post Office had an original way to celebrate Valentine's Day !
It has indeed issued a souvenir sheet made up of 5 self-adhesive "1st Class" (0.70 € currently) stamps with a cut-to-shape perforation.
This miniature sheet appears on the pretty FDC below, sent to me by Hannele, thank you so much :-) I'll show you some others soon !
These five stamps represent each some original means of communicating a message of love. From top to bottom: an airplane towing a heart-shaped banner, a carrier pigeon, smoke signals, SMS or a bottle into the sea :-)
J'aime bien ce bloc sur fond rose, conçu par "Syrup Helsinki", une société spécialisée dans le design et l'identité des entreprises, créée en 2001, qui s'appelle maintenant curieusement "Kokoro & Moi"...Cet ensemble, enveloppe avec des coeurs sur fond bleu clair, bloc rose et jolie oblitération "1er jour" ronde est du meilleur effet je trouve :-)
Ce bloc a une autre particularité : il comporte en haut à droite un UpCode qui permet, à partir d'un téléphone portable, d'accéder à des informations concernant la Saint-Valentin.
C'est la 2ème émission finlandaise avec cette technologie, après le bloc-feuillet consacré au centenaire de l'université de technologie d'Helsinki, dont j'ai déjà parlé dans un message précédent.
Dernière précision : "Helsingfors", qui figure sur le cachet 1er jour, signifie "Helsinki" en suédois. Le suédois est une des 2 langues officielles de la Finlande (avec le finnois), parlée par 6% de la population.
Pour être complet : "Ensipäivä" et "Första dagen" signifient "1er jour" en finnois et suédois et le nom du pays se dit "Suomi" en finnois et "Finland" en suédois...vous me suivez ?
I like this M/S with a pink background, designed by "Syrup Helsinki", a specialised consultancy in design and brand identity, founded in 2001, and now curiously called "Kokoro & Moi"...
This set, a cover with hearts on a blue background, a pink M/S, a nice "1st Day" round cancellation is a real success I find :-)
This sheet has another particularity : it includes top right an UpCode that allows, with your mobile phone, to access information about Valentine's Day.
This is the 2nd Finnish issue with this technology, following the souvenir sheet dedicated to the Helsinki University of Technology Centenary, about which I've already spoken in a previous post.
Last precision : "Helsingfors", which appears on the "1st day" postmark, means "Helsinki" in Swedish. Swedish is indeed one of the two official languages of Finland (with Finnish), spoken by 6% of the population.
