Le jardin botanique de la capitale moldave a été fondé en 1950 par l'académie des sciences de l'URSS. Géré aujourd'hui par l'académie des sciences de la république de Moldavie, ce jardin botanique ("Grădina Botanică din Chişinău" en moldave), situé dans le nord-ouest de Chişinău, couvre une surface de 76 hectares et près de 10000 espèces de plantes y sont plantées.
Pour commémorer le 60ème anniversaire de la création de ce jardin, la poste moldave a émis, le 31 juillet 2010, l'entier postal ci-dessous (déjà le 15ème de l'année !), tiré à 20000 exemplaires.
The Botanical Garden of the Moldovan capital was founded in 1950 by the USRR Academy of Sciences. Managed today by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, this Botanical Garden ("Grădina Botanică din Chişinău" in Moldovan), located in north-west of Chişinău, covers an area of 76 hectares and there are around 10,000 species of plants.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the creation of this Garden, the Moldovan Post has issued on July 31, 2010, the Postal Stationery below (already the 15th issued this year !) with a printing run of 20,000.
Merci beaucoup Sergio pour cette intéressante pièce philatélique avec oblitération "1er jour" évoquant le logo de ce jardin botanique :-)Une jolie vue de ce jardin et de son lac figure sur l'illustration à gauche alors que le timbre pré-imprimé (1,20 L, tarif intérieur lettre de moins de 20g) semble représenter les locaux abritant l'administration de ce jardin.
Sergio a eu la bonne idée d'ajouter un timbre à 3L faisant partie d'une série de 3 timbres émis le 19 août 2008 consacrée à des plantes en voie de disparition en Moldavie, comme l'anémone hépatique (Hepatica nobilis Mill.) ici.

A nice view of the garden and its lake is featured on the illustration on the left while the pre-printed stamp (L 1.20, domestic rate for a letter up to 20g) seems to feature the building housing the administration of this Garden.
Sergio has had the good idea to add a L 3.00 stamp part of a series of three stamps issued on August 19, 2008 devoted to endangered plants in Moldova, like the Common Hepatica (Hepatica nobilis Mill.) here.
Deux autres timbres figurent sur l'autre côté de cette lettre ci-dessus, permettant d'atteindre un affranchissement de 4,50 L, soit le tarif postal pour une lettre de moins de 20g envoyée par voie terrestre vers un pays de la zone A (dont fait partie la France).Le timbre à droite (0,05 L) fait partie d'une série de 2 timbres, émise le 26 décembre 1992, évoquant l'admission de la Moldavie à l'UPU (Union Postale Universelle). Ce timbre, représentant l'emblème de l'UPU et le drapeau moldave, évoque le transport du courrier par voie terrestre (ferroviaire en particulier).
Le timbre courant à gauche (0,03 L, armoiries de la Moldavie), émis initialement le 7 août 1993, a été surchargé avec une nouvelle valeur de 0,25 L et réémis le 7 juin 2007.
A noter enfin que la poste moldave avait déjà émis une série de 4 timbres en 2002 consacrée à des plantes de ce même jardin botanique de Chişinău.
Two other stamps are included on the other side of this cover above, to achieve a postage of L 4.50, the postal rate for letters up to 20g sent by land to a Zone A country (France being part of this Zone A).
The stamp on the right (L 0.05) is part of a set of two stamps, issued on December 26, 1992, referring to the admission of Moldova to the UPU (Universal Postal Union). This stamp, depicting the emblem of the UPU and the Moldovan flag, is devoted to the transportation of mail by land (by rail in particular).
The definitive stamp on the left (L 0.03, coat of arms of Moldova), originally issued on August 7, 1993, was overprinted with a new value of L 0.25 and reissued on June 7, 2007.
Finally, to note that the Post of Moldova had already issued a series of four stamps in 2002 devoted to different plants of this same Chişinău Botanical Garden.
