En 2020, de nombreuses administrations postales ont émis ou vont émettre des timbres consacrés au 75ème anniversaire de la création des Nations Unies : Kirghizstan, Slovaquie, Russie, Moldavie, Belarus, Administration postale des Nations Unies, Belgique, Kazakhstan, Allemagne, Luxembourg, Autriche, Portugal, Turquie, Slovénie, Tunisie, Italie, Serbie, Myanmar, Pologne, Pakistan, Oman, Liban, Irak, Émirats Arabes Unis, Singapour, Inde, Azerbaïdjan, Monaco, Monténégro, Maroc, Bosnie-Herzégovine (République serbe), Bulgarie...
Pour rappel, 51 pays ont fondé l'Organisation des Nations Unies en 1945 suite à la ratification de la Charte des Nations Unies à San Francisco le le 24 octobre 1945.
Singapour est membre des Nations Unies depuis le 21 septembre 1965, après l'indépendance du pays.
L'administration postale de Singapour a mis en circulation, le 6 novembre 2020, une série (4 timbres, conception : Wong Wui Kong) consacrée à ce 75ème anniversaire des Nations Unies.

As a reminder, 51 countries founded the United Nations in 1945 following the ratification of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco on October 24, 1945.
Singapore has been a member of the United Nations since September 21, 1965, after the country's independence.
The Singapore Postal Administration put into circulation, on November 6, 2020, a series (4 stamps, design: Wong Wui Kong) dedicated to this 75th anniversary of the United Nations.

Le logo officiel de ce 75ème anniversaire des Nations Unies (emblème des Nations Unies, mention "UN75", sans le slogan associé "Façonnons notre avenir ensemble") figure sur chacun de ces 4 timbres, le 1er (1st Local) étant consacré à l'adhésion de Singapour aux Nations Unies en 1965 (siège de l'institution à New-York, drapeaux de Singapour et des Nations Unies, salle de l'Assemblée générale).
Singapour a été membre non permanent du Conseil de Sécurité des Nations Unies sur la période 2001-2002 et le pays est actif au sein de cette institution, concernant le maintien de la paix et la prévention des conflits, en particulier à travers la signature en 2019 de la Convention des Nations Unies sur les accords de règlement internationaux issus de la médiation ("Convention de Singapour sur la Médiation"), illustrée sur le timbre suivant (90c) représentant des orchidées sur fond de carte du monde.
Les forces armées et la police de Singapour ont, depuis 1989, participé à 17 missions de maintien de la paix et d'observation des Nations Unies dans une dizaine de pays, ce que rappelle le timbre suivant (1,40$).
Le dernier timbre (70c) est consacré à la Convention des Nations unies sur le droit de la mer, signée en 1982, qui définit les droits et les responsabilités des nations en ce qui concerne leur utilisation des océans du monde, l'environnement et la gestion des ressources naturelles marines. 

The official logo of this 75th anniversary of the United Nations (United Nations emblem, mention "UN75", without the associated slogan "Shaping our future together") appears on each of these 4 stamps, the 1st one (1st Local) being dedicated to the Singapore's accession to the United Nations in 1965 (headquarters of the institution in New York, flags of Singapore and the United Nations, General Assembly hall).

Singapore was a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council over the period 2001-2002 and the country is active within this institution, with regard to peacekeeping and conflict prevention, in particular through the signing in 2019 of the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation ("Singapore Convention on Mediation"), illustrated on the following stamp (90c) depicting orchids on a background map of the world.

The Singapore armed forces and police have, since 1989, participated in 17 United Nations peacekeeping and observer missions in ten countries, as the following stamp ($ 1.40) recalls.

The last stamp (70c) is dedicated to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, signed in 1982, which defines the rights and responsibilities of nations with respect to their use of the world's oceans, the environment and the management of marine natural resources.
