Le 2 août 2007, la poste de Malaisie a commémoré le 40ème anniversaire du règne du Yang di-Pertuan Besar (titre royal) de l'état de Negeri Sembilan, situé dans le sud-ouest de la péninsule malaise.
Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Ja'afar ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman (1922-2008) fut le 4ème Yang di-Pertuan Besar de Negeri Sembilan (entre 1967 et 2008) mais a été aussi le 10ème Yang di-Pertuan Agong, l'équivalent du roi de Malaisie (entre 1994 et 1999).
Trois timbres et un bloc-feuillet ont été émis pour célébrer cet anniversaire. C'est le bloc qui figure sur la lettre ci-dessous postée le 28 décembre 2010 du tout récent NMC (National Mail Center) de Shah Alam, capitale de l'état voisin de Selangor. Merci beaucoup Kkkhor :-)
On August 2, 2007, the Malaysian Post has commemorated the 40th anniversary of the reign of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar (royal title) of the State of Negeri Sembilan, located in south-west of Peninsular Malaysia.
Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Ja'afar ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman (1922-2008) was the fourth Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan (from 1967 to 2008) but was also the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the equivalent of the King of Malaysia (from 1994 to 1999).
Three stamps and one souvenir sheet were issued to celebrate this anniversary. This is the sheet that appears on the cover below mailed on December 28, 2010 from the recent NMC (National Mail Center) located in Shah Alam, capital of the neighboring State of Selangor. Thank you very much Kkkhor :-)
Le couple royal est représenté sur le timbre à 2 RM, l'intitulé exact de l'épouse ("Tuanku Ampuan") étant Tuanku Najihah binti Tuanku Besar Burhanudin...La marge inférieure du bloc représente l'ancien palais royal de Seri Menanti, la capitale royale de l'état de Negeri Sembilan (la capitale étant Seremban).
Ce palais en bois a été construit à partir de 1902 et achevé en 1908 pour remplacer l'ancien palais rasé par les forces britanniques. Cette structure a la particularité de n'utiliser aucun clou métallique mais uniquement des joints en bois (appelés "pasak").
Il sera la résidence royale jusqu'en 1931 lorsqu'un nouveau palais sera construit proche de celui-ci.
Le blason de l'état de Negeri Sembilan ainsi que l'insigne royal (une épée et un fourreau rouges) figurent également dans la marge en haut à gauche.

The lower margin of the sheet is depicting the old royal palace of Seri Menanti, the royal capital of the State of Negeri Sembilan (Seremban is the capital).
This wooden palace was built from 1902 and completed in 1908 to replace the previous palace razed by the British forces. Its structure has the particularity of not using any metal nails but only wood joints (called "pasak").
This palace was the royal residence until 1931 when a new palace was built not far.
The arms of the State of Negeri Sembilan as well as the royal insignia (red swords and scabbards) are also included in the top left margin.
