La poste du Luxembourg a fait appel à l'artiste et graphiste Linda Bos, originaire des Pays-Bas, pour concevoir sa série EUROPA 2012 (2 timbres sur le thème "Visitez...") émise le 15 mai 2012.
Les touristes viennent visiter le Luxembourg pour ses paysages naturels mais aussi pour son patrimoine architectural. C'est ce thème qui a été choisi, en particulier le patrimoine culturel, le design et l'art contemporain, pour illustrer cette série EUROPA, incluse sur la lettre ci-dessous postée le 17 juin 2012 (un dimanche !) de la capitale, Luxembourg.
Chaque timbre évoque respectivement le patrimoine architectural historique (timbre à 0,60€) et contemporain (timbre à 0,85€) principalement présent à Luxembourg.
The postal administration of Luxembourg has called upon the graphic artist Linda Bos, a native of the Netherlands, to design its 2012 EUROPA series (two stamps devoted to the theme "Visit...") issued on May 15, 2012.
Tourists come to visit Luxembourg for its natural scenery but also for its architectural heritage. It is that topic that was chosen, in particular cultural heritage, design and contemporary art, to illustrate this EUROPA series, included on the cover below mailed on June 17, 2012 (a Sunday !) from the capital, Luxembourg.
Each stamp evokes respectively the historical (€ 0.60 stamp) and contemporary (€ 0.85 stamp) architectural heritage mainly present in the city of Luxembourg. 
Linda Bos a conçu cette série afin qu'elle donne l'impression de ne former qu'une seule image, délimitée à gauche par le Monument au Souvenir "Gëlle Fra" et à droite par le château d'eau de Leudelange, un symbole de l'architecture contemporaine au Luxembourg.
Le fort Thüngen, le palais grand-ducal ou la cathédrale Notre-Dame sont quelques-uns des monuments historiques représentés sur le timbre à gauche.
Le Mudam (Musée d'art moderne Grand-Duc Jean), la Philharmonie, le CAPe (Centre des Arts Pluriels d'Ettelbrück), le pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte ou les immeubles modernes du quartier (Kirchberg) des banques et des institutions européennes, figurent sur l'autre timbre.
A noter enfin le cachet spécial à gauche, émis par la poste luxembourgeoise pendant le dernier Salon du Timbre organisé en juin à Paris. Il représente la créature "Pixel", née de l'imaginaire d'Andy Genen (né en 1979), dessinateur luxembourgeois de bandes dessinées. "Pixel" est un des personnages de son ouvrage intitulé "De leschte Ritter" qui a fait l'objet d'une émission d'un bloc-feuillet (4 timbres) émis le 17 mai 2011...
Linda Bos has designed this series so that it gives the impression to form a single image, bounded to the left by the Monument au Souvenir "Gëlle Fra" and by the watertower of Leudelange to the right, a symbol of contemporary architecture in Luxembourg.
Fort Thüngen, the Grand Ducal Palace or the Notre-Dame Cathedral are some of the monuments shown on the stamp to the left.
Mudam (Museum of Modern Art "Grand-Duc Jean"), the Philharmonic, the CAPe (Plural Arts Centre of Ettelbrück), the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge or the modern buildings of the district (Kirchberg) of banks and European institutions, are included on the other stamp.
Finally, to note the special postmark to the left, issued by the Luxembourg Post during the last "Planète Timbres" Stamp Exhibition held in Paris in June. It features the creature "Pixel", born from the imagination of Andy Genen (born 1979), a comic strip's illustrator from Luxembourg. "Pixel" is one of the characters of his comic "De leschte Ritter" that illustrated a souvenir sheet (4 stamps) issued on May 17, 2011...
