A Festival of EUROPA stamps on Polish covers !

Un grand merci Kazimierz pour ces 4 lettres ci-dessous qui nous permettent de découvrir les différents timbres EUROPA émis par la poste polonaise respectivement en 2000, 2002, 2005 et 2007 :-)
Pour rappel, entre 1956 et 1973, les illustrations des timbres EUROPA (logo CEPT) étaient communes pour tous les pays européens participants. Depuis 1974, un thème commun est retenu et chaque pays peut l'illustrer à sa façon.
Une exception en 2000 puisque l'organisation PostEurop a décidé que le sujet du timbre EUROPA serait unique et qu'il serait émis dans chaque pays le 9 mai 2000, marquant le 50ème anniversaire de la déclaration de Robert Schuman, le texte fondateur de la construction européenne.

A big thank you Kazimierz for these four covers below allowing to discover the different EUROPA stamps issued by the Polish Post, respectively, in 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2007 :-)

As a reminder, from 1956 to 1973, the illustrations of the EUROPA stamps (with then the CEPT logo) were common to all participating European countries. Since 1974, a common theme is chosen and each country is free to design stamps in its own way.

An exception in 2000 when the postal organization PostEurop decided that the design of EUROPA stamp would be unique and would be issued in each country on May 9, 2000, marking the 50th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, the founding text of the European construction.

C'est ce timbre qui figure en 2 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessus postée le 18 juin 2012 de la ville de Tarnobrzeg.
L'illustration de ce timbre est due à l'artiste français Jean-Paul Cousin qui l'a décrit ainsi : "D'une terre saine (vert), aux lignes courbes harmonieuses, estampillée avec le E de Europe, et sur un fond de ciel serein (bleu) couleur du drapeau de l'Europe, monte une colonne d'étoiles - symboles des pays de la Communauté européenne - construction où chaque élément a son dessin particulier, son positionnement et garde son individualité... Sur une ombre dessinant le E de Europe, viennent des quatre points cardinaux des enfants bruns et blonds symbolisant l'avenir, ceux par qui l'Europe se fera. Ils apportent des étoile futures, celles qui sont en gestation dans le ciel"...

It is that stamp that appears in two copies on the letter above, mailed on June 18, 2012 from the city of Tarnobrzeg.

The illustration of this stamp is due to the French artist Jean-Paul Cousin who described it like that : "Rising from the fertile earth (green), the harmonious curves - stamped with the "E" for Europe and set against a clear blue sky the colour of the European flag - a column of stars symbolises the countries of the European Community, an edifice where each element has its own particular design and position yet retains its individuality... On a shadow forming the "E" for Europe, children dark and fair approach from the four points of the compass, symbolising the future and those who will build this Europe. They bring the stars of the future, the stars that are still in the making in the skies"...

Le thème retenu par PostEurop pour les émissions de timbres EUROPA en 2002 était le cirque.
La poste polonaise a émis à cette occasion, le 5 mai 2002, le curieux timbre ci-dessus à droite, reproduisant une affiche de Maciej Zdzieblan-Urbaniec montrant la célèbre Joconde de Vinci faisant des acrobaties...
Sur cette lettre postée le 20 juin 2012, Kazimierz a ajouté un timbre courant faisant partie d'une jolie série courante, émise le 15 juin 1999, consacrée à des manoirs de Pologne, celui de Krzeslawice près de Cracovie ici.

The theme chosen by PostEurop for the EUROPA stamps issued in 2002 was "Circus".

The Polish Post has issued on this occasion, on May 5, 2002, the curious stamp above to the right, reproducing a poster by Maciej Zdzieblan-Urbaniec showing the famous Da Vinci's Mona Lisa doing acrobatics...

On this letter posted on June 20, 2012, Kazimierz has added a definitive stamp being part of a nice definitive set, issued on June 15, 1999, devoted to the Manor houses of Poland, a house located in Krzeslawice near Krakow here.

Le thème de la gastronomie a été choisi pour les timbres EUROPA émis en 2005.
Le 5 mai 2005, la Pologne a émis le timbre ci-dessus à droite consacré à l'oscypek, un fromage fumé typique de la Pologne et de la Slovaquie. Ce fromage conçu à partir de lait de brebis, pressé dans des moules en bois décorés en forme de fuseau, est fabriqué en particulier par les bergers de la région de Podhale, dans le sud du pays, au pied des montagnes Tatras.
Le timbre ci-dessus à gauche, émis le 29 juillet 2005, fait partie de la série commune consacrée aux villes de Pologne, Sieradz (centre du pays) ici et son église de tous les Saints en particulier.

The theme of "Gastronomy" was chosen for the EUROPA stamps issued in 2005.

On May 5, 2005, Poland has issued the stamp above on the right devoted to Oscypek, a typical smoked cheese from Poland and Slovakia. This cheese made from sheep's milk, pressed into wooden spindle-shaped forms in decorative shapes, is made especially by shepherds from the Podhale region in southern country, in the Tatra Mountains.

The stamp above to the left, issued on July 29, 2005, is part of the definitive series devoted to Polish cities, to Sieradz (central Poland) here with its Church of All Saints in particular.

La dernière lettre ci-dessus est affranchie avec le timbre EUROPA émis le 5 mai 2007.
Le thème du scoutisme a été choisi cette année là car on commémorait le 100ème anniversaire de la création du mouvement scout en 1907 par le britannique Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941).
Ce timbre, conçu par A.Pekalski, montre un jeune scout jouant du clairon avec un campement en arrière-plan.
A noter qu'un autre timbre sur ce même thème a été émis en 2010 à l'occasion des 100 ans du mouvement scout en Pologne...

The last cover above is franked with the EUROPA stamp issued on May 5, 2007.

The theme of Scouting was chosen that year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Scout Movement in 1907 by Britain's Robert Baden-Powell (1857-1941).

This stamp, designed by A.Pekalski, shows a boy scout playing a bugle with a scout camp in the background.

To note that another stamp devoted to that same topic was issued in 2010 on the occasion of the 100 years of Scouting in Poland...
