Série "Pivoines du jardin botanique national" sur FDC de Moldavie
Le 6 mai 2026, la poste moldave a mis en circulation une jolie série (3 timbres) consacrée à différentes espèces de pivoines ("bujori") faisant partie des plantations du jardin botanique national (Institut) "Alexandru Ciubotaru", Université d'État de Moldavie à Chișinău.
Ces 3 timbres, conçus par Veronica Coroli, figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 200) avec TAD de Chișinău (MD-2002). Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Créé en 1950 par l'académie des sciences, ce jardin botanique national est la principale structure de recherche dans le domaine de la botanique en Moldavie. Situé dans le sud-est de Chişinău, il couvre une surface de 104 hectares et près de 10000 espèces de plantes y sont plantées.
A partir de 1965, les travaux de conception et de construction du jardin furent réalisés sous la direction de l'académicien Alexandru Ciubotaru (1932-2017), spécialiste en embryologie et biotechnologie végétale, qui dirigea cette institution pendant plus de 32 ans. En 1975, le Jardin botanique obtint le statut d'établissement de recherche scientifique.
On May 6, 2026, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a lovely series (3 stamps) dedicated to different species of peonies ("bujori") from the plantings of the "Alexandru Ciubotaru" National Botanical Garden (Institute), State University of Moldova in Chișinău.
These three stamps, designed by Veronica Coroli, are featured on the official FDC below (print run: 200) with cancellations from Chișinău (MD-2002). Thank you very much, Nicolae!
Established in 1950 by the Academy of Sciences, this National Botanical Garden is the leading research institution in the field of botany in Moldova. Located in southeastern Chișinău, it covers an area of 104 hectares and is home to nearly 10,000 plant species.
From 1965 onwards, the design and construction of the garden were carried out under the direction of Academician Alexandru Ciubotaru (1932-2017), a specialist in embryology and plant biotechnology, who led the institution for over 32 years. In 1975, the Botanical Garden obtained the status of a scientific research institution.
Suite aux fortes chutes de neige d'avril 2017, environ 80% des arbres et arbustes d'ornement qui font partie des collections et des expositions du jardin botanique national ont été perdus ou endommagés.
Ces 3 timbres ont été imprimés chacun dans un feuillet composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette.
Les 3 espèces de pivoines hybrides illustrées sur cette série sont des plantes vivaces rustiques et très robustes. Leur culture est identique à celle des pivoines herbacées (pivoine de Chine).
Le premier timbre (5 MDL, tirage : 80000) représente l'espèce "Cora Louise" avec ses grandes fleurs blanches (macules pourpres à la base des pétales) odorantes, le 2ème timbre (5,20 MDL, tirage : 40000) illustrant l'espèce "Bartzella" avec ses pétales jaune citron, soyeux et légèrement parfumés, le dernier timbre (13,50 MDL, tirage : 80000) étant consacré à l'espèce "Hillary" avec ses pétales voilés de rose vif pourpré sur un fond d'abricot clair.
Following the heavy snowfall of April 2017, approximately 80% of the ornamental trees and shrubs in the collections and exhibits of the National Botanic Garden were lost or damaged.
These three stamps have been each printed in a sheetlet containing five stamps plus one label.
The three hybrid peony species illustrated in this series are hardy and very robust perennials. Their cultivation is identical to that of herbaceous peonies (Chinese peony).
The first stamp (5 MDL, print run: 80,000) represents the species "Cora Louise" with its large fragrant white flowers (purple spots at the base of the petals), the 2nd stamp (5.20 MDL, print run: 40,000) illustrates the species "Bartzella" with its silky, slightly fragrant lemon-yellow petals, the last stamp (13.50 MDL, print run: 80,000) being devoted to the species "Hillary" with its petals veiled in bright purplish-pink on a light apricot background.
