Moldova-Ukraine joint stamp issue: Church Bells (Chișinău and Kiev)

Émission commune Moldavie-Ukraine : Cloches d'églises (Chișinău and Kiev)

Unless I am mistaken, this is the second joint stamp issue between Moldova and Ukraine after a series (two stamps) issued in 2007 devoted to the protection of endangered fish species in the Dniester River.
On December 26, 2018, the two countries put into circulation a very nice souvenir sheet (2 stamps) dedicated to church bells ("Clopote bisericeşti").
Thank you very much Nicolae for this beautiful First Day cover (print run: 300) concerning this Moldovan souvenir sheet (design: Alexandr Kornienco, print run: 30,000 - 35,000 for the Ukrainian s/s), with cancellations from Chişinău (MD-2012)!
To note that the bells reproduced on these 2 stamps (L 9.50 each) were printed (by Nova Imprim) with a special transparent varnish.
To note also the original shape (rhombus) of these stamps as well as the 4 unusual rounded corners of this souvenir sheet.

The stamp on the left is dedicated to the bell (melted in 1838) located at the top of the bell tower of the Cathedral of the Nativity in Chişinău, consecrated in 1836.
This neoclassical orthodox cathedral (architect: Avraam Melnikov) was damaged during bombings during World War II, the bell tower (built along the main axis forty meters from the cathedral) was even destroyed in 1962 by the Soviet authorities. It was rebuilt in 1997 during the 2nd consecration of this building.
The other stamp shows the bell "Mazepa" (1705) of St. Sophia Cathedral (built from the 11th century), a monument of Kievan Rus', located within the National Sanctuary Sophia of Kiev, the Ukrainian capital.
Today it is one of the most famous monuments in the country (especially for its unique frescoes and mosaics), the first Ukrainian site inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1990.
The flags of the two countries as well as the bell towers at the top of which these bells ring are featured in the side margins of this souvenir sheet.
