Algerian Parks - Part II

Le 5 août dernier, je vous présentais un joli FDC d'Algérie avec un des 3 timbres de la série "Parcs et jardins d'Algérie" émise le 5 juin 2007.
Ouari m'a également envoyé ce 2ème FDC avec la série complète. Merci beaucoup :-)
Plus précisément, il s'agit du FDC avec les 2 autres timbres de la série représentant le jardin Landon à Biskra (15 DA) et le jardin Ibn Badis à Oran (20 DA).
Ouari y a ajouté le 3ème timbre consacré au jardin d'Essai du Hamma d'Alger (38 DA).
On last August 5, I presented a nice FDC from Algeria with one of the three "Algerian Parks" stamps issued on June 5, 2007.
Ouari also sent me this second FDC with the complete set this time. Thank you very much :-)
More precisely, it's the FDC with the two other stamps representing the Landon Park in Biskra (DA 15.00) and the Ibn Badis Park in Oran (DA 20.00).
Ouari added the third stamp dedicated to the Hamma Park in Algiers (DA 38.00).

Le jardin Landon est un lieu célèbre de la ville de Biskra (700000 habitants), capitale des Aurès, dans le nord-est du pays. Ce jardin a été créé par le comte anglais Jack Landon, vers 1870, en balcon sur l'oued de Sidi Zerzour, entre les quartiers nouveaux et anciens de la ville.
La beauté de ce jardin n'a pas laissé insensible des écrivains français comme André Gide ou Anatole France !
Le jardin Ibn Badis, ancienne promenade de Létang du nom du général qui l'a créé en 1836, est le plus vieux jardin d’Oran (900000 habitants), ville portuaire dans le nord-ouest de l'Algérie.
Ce jardin charmant de 6 hectares est constitué d’allées étagées où ont été plantés palmiers, platanes, pins, chênes, caroubiers, eucalyptus, jasmins, chèvrefeuilles...
Une vraie invitation à venir visiter ces magnifiques jardins, surtout avec ces 3 timbres plutôt réussis :-)
The Landon Park is a famous place of the city of Biskra (700.000 inhabitants), the capital of Aures, in the north-east of the country. This garden was created by the English Count Jack Landon, circa 1870, in balcony overlooking the wadi of Sidi Zerzour between new and old districts of the city.
The beauty of this garden has not left unmoved French writers like André Gide or Anatole France !
The Ibn Badis park, former De Létang promenade on the name of the General who created it in 1836, is the oldest garden in Oran (900.000 inhabitants), a port city in north-west of Algeria.
This 6 hectares charming garden consists of paths on different levels where were planted palm trees, pines, oaks, carob, eucalyptus, jasmine, honeysuckle...
A real invitation to visit these beautiful Parks, especially with these three rather successful stamps :-)
