Pour faire suite à mon message précédent concernant ce nouveau bloc-feuillet "Acteurs du cinéma français", un autre document philatélique spécial consacré également au cinéma a été émis le 20 octobre 2012.
Un collector composé de 4 timbres personnalisés (type IDTimbre, Lettre Prioritaire 20g), vendu 4,90€, a en effet été émis ce jour là pour commémorer le 80ème anniversaire de la construction du Grand Rex, cette salle de cinéma extraordinaire située à Paris.
Joël m'a envoyé le magnifique pli ci-dessous incluant les 4 timbres de ce collector ainsi que le TAD spécial du 20 octobre 2012. Merci beaucoup :-)
To follow my previous post about this new souvenir sheet "Actors of French cinema", another special philatelic document also devoted to cinéma was issued on October 20, 2012.
A collector consisting of four personalized stamps (type IDTimbre, Priority Letter 20g) sold at a price of € 4.90, has indeed been issued that day to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the construction of the Grand Rex, this extraordinary cinema and music venue located in Paris.

Jacques Haïk, riche producteur de cinéma, décide en effet de construire en 1932 la plus belle salle de cinéma de France, le Grand Rex, oeuvre de l'architecte Auguste Bluysen.
Ce bâtiment monumental est alors doté d'une tour Art Déco de 50 mètres de haut (elle figure sur les 2 timbres en haut à gauche ci-dessus) et d'une salle, qui devait pouvoir accueillir initialement 5000 personnes, avec un décor méditerranéen et son célèbre ciel étoilé (timbre en bas à gauche).
Cet édifice, inscrit à l'inventaire des monuments historiques en 1981, est devenu la plus grande salle de cinéma d'Europe en 1988 avec une salle de 2800 places et un incroyable écran de 300 m² !
Le dernier timbre ci-dessus à droite évoque les Etoiles du Rex, un parcours interactif créé en 1998 pour faire découvrir au public l'histoire du Grand Rex mais aussi les coulisses, les espaces techniques et les différents métiers du cinéma.
Jacques Haïk, a wealthy film producer, decided indeed in 1932 to build the most beautiful cinema venue in France, the Grand Rex, designed by architect Auguste Bluysen.
This monumental building is then equipped with a Art Deco 50 meters high tower (featured on the two stamps in the upper left above) and a room, initialy intended for 5,000 seats, with a Mediterranean decor and its famous starry sky (stamp in the lower left above)
This building, listed as a historic monument in 1981, has become the largest cinema venue in Europe in 1988 with a hall of 2,800 seats and an amazing 300 m² screen !
The last stamp above to the right evokes the "Etoiles du Rex" ("Stars of the Rex"), an interactive journey created in 1998 to make discover the history of the Grand Rex, but also backstage areas, technical spaces and the different aspects of filmmaking.

A noter le conditionnement original de ces 4 timbres dans le collector ci-dessus (merci Joël de l'avoir joint à ta lettre) évoquant une pellicule cinématographique !
L'autre face de ce collector ci-dessous comporte un historique du Grand Rex avec une intéressante photographie ancienne prise sans doute peu de temps après son ouverture il y a 80 ans...
