"Bird of the Year 2020 - White-browed tit warbler" stamp on FDC from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

Timbre "Oiseau de l'année 2020 - Mésange de Sophie" sur FDC du Kirghizstan (KEP)

Environ 400 espèces d'oiseaux sont recensées au Kirghizstan, beaucoup d'entre elles étant rares et protégées par l'état (57 sont inclus dans le Livre Rouge de la République kirghize).
La Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné du Kirghizstan, a initié en 2019 une série intitulée "Oiseau de l'année" en émettant (le 9 mai 2019) un timbre consacré à l'outarde canepetière.
Cette série est conçue en collaboration avec la "Kyrgyz Wildlife Conservation Society (KWCS)", le partenaire de "Birdlife international" au Kirghizstan, qui désigne chaque année une espèce d'oiseau particulièrement menacée.
Le 17 décembre 2020, un nouveau timbre a été émis dans le cadre de cette série, consacré cette fois à la mésange de Sophie.
Ce timbre (150 KGS, tirage : 5000), conçu par Daria Maier et imprimée en Moldavie par "Nova Imprim", figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 250), avec TAD de Bichkek.

The Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), the 2nd designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan, has launched in 2019 a "Bird of the Year" series by issuing (on May 9, 2019) a stamp dedicated to the Little Bustard.
This series is designed in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Wildlife Conservation Society (KWCS), the partner of Birdlife International in Kyrgyzstan, which annually designates a particularly endangered bird species.
On December 17, 2020, a new stamp was issued as part of this series, this time dedicated to the White-browed tit warbler.
This stamp (150 KGS, print run: 5,000), designed by Daria Maier and printed in Moldova by "Nova Imprim", is present on the official FDC below (print run: 250), with cancellations from Bishkek. 

 

La mésange de Sophie (Leptopoecile sophiae) est un oiseau rare et non migrateur du Kirghizistan (vivant principalement dans le massif de Tian Shan) et l'un des plus petits représentants de la faune kirghize (entre 8 et 10 cm de long).
Les deux sexes ont un sourcil blanc et une queue assez longue de couleur bleu violacée. Les mâles sont brillamment colorés et sont reconnaissables à leur gorge et à leur ventre bleus et violets.
Cette espèce vit dans les forêts d'arbustes montagneuses, entre 2000 et 5000 mètres d'altitude, dans la chaîne de l'Himalaya, sur le plateau tibétain et dans le Nord-Ouest de la Chine. 

White-browed tit warbler (Leptopoecile sophiae) is a rare, non-migratory bird from Kyrgyzstan (living mainly in the Tian Shan massif) and one of the smallest representatives of the Kyrgyz fauna (between 8 and 10 cm in length).

Both sexes have a white supercilium and a fairly long tail that is purplish-blue in color. Males are brilliantly colored and are recognizable by their blue and purple throats and bellies.

This species lives in mountainous shrub forests, between 2,000 and 5,000 meters above sea level, in the Himalayan range, on the Tibetan plateau and in northwestern China.

 

 

Ce très joli timbre, incluant le logo de "Birdlife international", une ONG fondée en 1922 pour la protection de la nature et des oiseaux en particulier, a été imprimé dans le joli bloc-feuillet composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette ci-dessus.
Le logo de la "Kyrgyz Wildlife Conservation Society (KWCS)", figure sur la vignette en bas à gauche.
Ce logo représente un bec-d'ibis tibétain (Ibidorhyncha struthersii), déjà à l'honneur sur un des 4 timbres de la série "Oiseaux du Kirghizstan" émise en 2018.
This very nice stamp, including the logo of "Birdlife International", an NGO founded in 1922 for the protection of nature and birds in particular, was printed in the beautiful souvenir sheet (5 stamps + 1 label) above.
The logo of the Kyrgyz Wildlife Conservation Society (KWCS) is present in the label at the bottom left.
This logo represents a Ibisbill (Ibidorhyncha struthersii), already in the spotlight on one of the four stamps of the series "Birds of Kyrgyzstan" issued in 2018.
