"International Holocaust Remembrance Day" postmark on card from Moldova

TAD "Journée internationale dédiée à la mémoire des victimes de l'Holocauste" sur carte de Moldavie

Par une résolution intitulée "Mémoire de l'Holocauste" adoptée en 2005, l'Assemblée générale a décidé que les Nations unies célèbreraient chaque année la Journée internationale dédiée à la mémoire des victimes de l'Holocauste, le 27 janvier, à la date anniversaire de la libération du camp de concentration d'Auschwitz, le 27 janvier 1945.
Le 27 janvier 2020, la poste moldave avait mis en circulation un timbre consacré à cette Journée internationale ("Ziua Internațională de Comemorare a Victimelor Holocaustului"), 75 ans après la libération du camp d'Auschwitz, présent sur la carte maximum ci-dessous. Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Ce timbre a été oblitéré avec le TAD (conception : Eugeniu Verebceanu), "Étoile de David et flamme", émis par le bureau principal de Chișinău (MD-2012) le 27 janvier 2022 pour commémorer cette même Journée.
In a resolution entitled "Memory of the Holocaust" adopted in 2005, the General Assembly decided that the United Nations will annually celebrate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, on January 27, on the anniversary date of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp, on January 27, 1945.
On January 27, 2020, the Post of Moldova had issued a stamp dedicated to this International Day ("Ziua Internațională de Comemorare a Victimelor Holocaustului"), 75 years after the liberation of the Auschwitz camp, present on the maxicard below. Thank you very much Nicolae!
This stamp was canceled with the postmark (design: Eugeniu Verebceanu), "Star of David and flame", issued by the main post office of Chișinău (MD-2012) on January 27, 2022 to commemorate this same Day. 

 

Ce timbre (15,50 L, tirage : 60000), conçu par Vitaliu Pogolșa, représente le Mémorial aux victimes du fascisme à Chișinău ainsi que des éléments importants de l'identité juive, la menorah (chandelier à 7 branches des Hébreux) et le Mur des Lamentations à Jérusalem.
Ce Mémorial aux victimes du fascisme ("Memorialul victimelor fascismului") est également représenté sur cette carte, une sculpture de l'artiste Aurel David, inaugurée en 1991, 50 ans après l'assassinat de 550 juifs par les SS, sur ce même site.
Ce monument est ensuite laissé à l'abandon avant d'être restauré récemment à l'initiative de la communauté juive de Moldavie. 
This stamp (15.50 L, print run: 60,000), designed by Vitaliu Pogolșa, features the Memorial to the victims of fascism in Chișinău as well as important elements of Jewish identity, the menorah (7-branched candlestick of the Hebrews) and the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
This Memorial to the victims of fascism ("Memorialul victimelor fascismului") is also represented on this postcard, a sculpture by artist Aurel David, inaugurated in 1991, 50 years after the assassination of 550 Jews by the SS, on this same site.
This monument is then left abandoned before being restored recently on the initiative of the Jewish community of Moldova. 

 

 

En juillet 1941, on estime à 10000 le nombre de juifs de Chișinău qui périrent aux mains de l'armée roumaine, alliée de la Wehrmacht, et jusqu'à 11000 juifs de la capitale moldave ont été déportés dans un ghetto (un autre monument a été érigé à Chișinău, consacré aux victimes de ce ghetto), dont 2300 enfants, ou dans un camp de concentration.
Pour rappel, entre 5 et 6 millions de juifs (les deux tiers des juifs d'Europe) ont été exterminés par l'Allemagne Nazie pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

In July 1941, an estimated 10,000 Jews from Chișinău died at the hands of the Romanian army, an Allied of the Wehrmacht, and up to 11,000 Jews from the Moldovan capital were deported to a ghetto (another monument was erected in Chișinău, dedicated to the victims of this ghetto), including 2,300 children, or in a concentration camp.
As a reminder, between 5 and 6 million Jews (two-thirds of European Jews) were exterminated by Nazi Germany during the Second World War.
