100th anniversary of the Brazilian national football team

On July 21, 1914, a team wore for the first time a national jersey in Brazil, during a match (unofficial according to FIFA) against the British team of Exeter City.
The Brazilian Sports Federation (FBS) was then born, renamed Brazilian Sports Confederation (CBD) in 1916 and Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) in 1979.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the national football team, the Brazilian Post (Correios) has put into circulation on July 21, 2014 in Rio de Janeiro, an interesting set of three se-tenant stamps (R$ 2.00 each, print run : 900,000, design : Alan Magalhães).

A big thank you Marcelo for this beautiful letter (envelope with a background evoking the lawn of a football field !) sent on April 7, 2016 from São Paulo, franked with these 3 stamps !
This series illustrates the evolution of this national football team since its creation in 1914 (stamp on the left) until today (stamp on the right) with a player wearing the iconic yellow jersey of Brazil, adopted in 1954 after a contest.
The stamp in the middle, with the Brazilian flag in the background, shows a player wearing the first white jersey of the national team as well as a goalkeeper wearing a blue jersey from 1970.
The emblem of the CBF, included on the right's stamp, is reminding us, with its 5 stars, that Brazil (the only team having participated in all FIFA World Cups) was crowned five-time world champion (1958, 1962 1970, 1994, 2002), a record.
