Un grand merci Normunds pour ce joli FDC officiel (tirage : 1500) envoyé le 9 mai 2016 (Journée de l'Europe) de Riga concernant la série EUROPA (2 timbres) émise par la poste lettone (Latvijas Pasts), consacrée cette année au thème de la protection de l'environnement à travers le slogan "Think Green!" ("Domā zaļi!" en letton).
Comme pour la série EUROPA émise en 2015 (jouets anciens), l'artiste Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja a conçu cette enveloppe FDC ainsi que le timbre ci-dessous à droite.
Ces 2 timbres (0,78€, tirage : 200000 chacun) correspondent à l'envoi d'une lettre de 1er échelon vers l'Union Européenne et ont la particularité d'avoir été imprimés chacun en feuillet de 8 timbres (4 paires tête-bêche).
A big thank you Normunds for this nice official FDC (print run : 1,500) sent on May 9, 2016 (Europe Day) from Riga regarding the EUROPA set (2 stamps) issued by the Latvian Post (Latvijas Pasts), devoted this year to the theme of the preservation of environment around the slogan "Think Green!" ("Domā zaļi!" in Latvian).
As for the EUROPA series issued in 2015 (old toys), the artist Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja designed this FDC as well as the stamp below to the right.
These two stamps (€ 0.78, print run : 200,000 each) correspond to the sending of a regular Class A letter to the European Union and have the distinction of having been printed each in a sheetlet of 8 stamps (4 tête-bêche pairs).
Un petit écureuil ("Vāvere") est mis en scène sur l'illustration de cette enveloppe ainsi que sur le timbre conçu par Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja, avec un focus sur l'importance du tri des déchets et du recyclage (on retrouve le symbole du recyclage, composé de 3 flèches en triangle, sur l'enveloppe et en plusieurs exemplaires sur le timbre).
Le 2ème timbre a été conçu à partir du dessin commun (conception : Doxia Sergidou / poste chypriote) choisi par PostEurop pour célébrer cette année le 60ème anniversaire de l'émission des premiers timbres EUROPA, exprimant l'aspiration du monde pour un environnement meilleur et plus propre.
A little squirrel ("Vāvere") is staged on the illustration of this envelope as well as on the stamp designed by Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja, with a focus on the importance of upporting waste sorting and recycling (we can notice the recycling's symbol, consisting of 3 arrows in a triangle, on the envelope and in multiple copies on the stamp).
The second stamp was designed from the common drawing (design : Doxia Sergidou / Cyprus Post) chosen by PostEurop to celebrate this year the 60th anniversary of the first CEPT- EUROPA stamps, expressing the world's aspiration for a better and cleaner environment.
