Timbre "UEFA EURO 2024" sur FDC d'Allemagne
La 17ème édition du Championnat d'Europe de football ("UEFA EURO 2024") se déroule en Allemagne du 14 juin au 14 juillet 2024, jour de la finale qui oppose ce soir l'Espagne et l'Angleterre.
Pour la première fois depuis la réunification, l'Allemagne accueille cette compétition. Dans les dix villes hôtes de Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Francfort, Gelsenkirchen, Hambourg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich et Stuttgart, 24 équipes nationales détermineront le vainqueur du Trophée Henri Delaunay, qui constitue le centre du timbre émis par la Deutsche Post le 6 juin 2024.

Une partie de la devise de cet EURO, "Unis par le football. Unis au cœur de l'Europe" est mentionnée sur le TAD incluant un ballon en son centre. Cette devise souligne un message d'unité, de solidarité et d'inclusion.
The 17th edition of the European Football Championship ("UEFA EURO 2024") takes place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024, the day of the final between Spain and England this evening.
For the first time since reunification, Germany is hosting this competition. In the ten host cities of Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart, 24 national teams will determine the winner of the Henri Delaunay Trophy, which is the focus of the stamp issued by the Deutsche Post on June 6, 2024.

Part of the motto of this EURO, "United by football. United at the heart of Europe" is mentioned on the postmark including a ball in its center. This motto highlights a message of unity, solidarity and inclusion.
Au centre du timbre est représenté le très convoité trophée Henri Delaunay remis au vainqueur. Il est encadré par les couleurs des associations membres de l'UEFA, qui sont réparties en 24 champs sur le logo officiel et symbolisent les 24 pays participants. Ensemble, ils forment le toit d'un stade, basé sur le stade olympique de Berlin, où se jouera la finale de cette compétition.
Les barres colorées représentent également d'autres éléments du football : les lignes croisées symbolisent le filet d'un but, les larges lignes parallèles une pelouse fraîchement tondue. Les grandes zones en pointillés copient le motif traditionnel du ballon utilisé comme dispositif de jeu et les petites zones en pointillés copient les confettis qui flottent sur l'équipe gagnante lors de la célébration de la victoire.
Ce timbre promeut un EURO où la diversité est célébrée ensemble et où chacun se sent le bienvenu en Allemagne.
D'autres administrations postales ont émis des timbres consacrés à cet EURO : Monaco, Roumanie, Ukraine, Géorgie, Azerbaïdjan.
La prochaine édition de cet EURO aura lieu en 2028 au Royaume-Uni et en Irlande.
In the center of the stamp is represented the coveted Henri Delaunay trophy awarded to the winner. It is framed by the colors of the UEFA member associations, which are divided into 24 fields on the official logo and symbolize the 24 participating countries. Together, they form the roof of a stadium, based on the Olympic stadium in Berlin, where the final of this competition will be played.
The colored bars also represent other elements of football: the crossed lines symbolize a goal net, the wide parallel lines a freshly mown lawn. The large dotted areas copy the traditional pattern of the ball used as a playing device and the small dotted areas copy the confetti that floats over the winning team during the victory celebration.
This stamp promotes a EURO where diversity is celebrated together and everyone feels welcome in Germany.
Other postal administrations have issued stamps dedicated to this EURO: Monaco, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan.
The next edition of this EURO will take place in 2028 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
