Bloc-feuillet "Jeux olympiques Paris 2024" sur lettre de Nouvelle-Zélande
Le 5 juin 2024, la poste de Nouvelle-Zélande a mis en circulation une jolie série (4 timbres) consacrée aux jeux olympiques de Paris 2024 (33ème olympiade) organisés du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024.
Cette série, conçue par Nick Jarvie, a également été imprimée dans un même bloc-feuillet, utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 3 juillet 2024 depuis la ville de Wanganui, située sur l'île du Nord. Merci beaucoup Pieter !
Lors de ces jeux de Paris 2024, la Nouvelle-Zélande sera
représentée par 195 athlètes (98 hommes, 97 femmes) engagés dans 22 sports, avec des
chances de médailles en aviron, équitation, natation, rugby à 7, voile et cyclisme
principalement.
Pour la première fois dans l'histoire, autant de
femmes que d'hommes (environ 10500 athlètes au total) participeront à
ces jeux de Paris 2024.
L'emblème de l'équipe olympique néo-zélandaise (fougère + anneaux olympiques) "NZ Team" figure sur chacun des timbres ainsi que dans la marge à droite.
On June 5, 2024, New Zealand Post released a beautiful set (4 stamps) dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (33rd Olympiad) held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Le premier timbre (2,30$) est intitulé "Pour la fougère" : lorsque les athlètes néo-zélandais ont cousu à la main la fougère argentée sur leurs maillots noirs pour les jeux olympiques d'Anvers de 1920, ils ont commencé une tradition de 100 ans et sont devenus sans le savoir les membres fondateurs de l'équipe néo-zélandaise.
Le timbre suivant (3,60$), "Pour l'équipe" : l'équipe néo-zélandaise grandit encore aujourd'hui en nombre, en force et en mana - englobant tous les athlètes qui ont porté la fougère avec fierté aux jeux olympiques, aux jeux olympiques d'hiver et aux jeux du Commonwealth.
Le timbre à 4,30$, "Pour les fans" : que vous regardiez à la télévision ou dans les tribunes des jeux eux-mêmes, l'atmosphère des jeux olympiques est irréelle, la compétition est incroyable et voir nos athlètes donner tout ce qu'ils peuvent pour représenter notre pays est extrêmement spécial.
Le dernier timbre (4,90$), "Pour l'or" : depuis plus de 100 ans, nos médaillés d'or olympiques (55 au total) ont contribué à façonner l'identité culturelle de notre nation et ont présenté nos valeurs et notre culture au monde.
La mention "Pour nous tous" figure enfin dans la marge en bas à droite.
