Le , Tsai Ing-wen a été officiellement investie pour un second mandat de présidente de la République de Chine (Taïwan).
Le 11 janvier 2020, elle est largement réélue pour un second mandat (4 ans) avec 57,1 % des voix et lors des élections législatives qui se déroulent en même temps, son parti, le PDP (Parti Démocrate Progressiste) perd 7 sièges mais garde la majorité absolue au parlement.
Tsai Ing-wen (née en 1956), avocate de formation, a été la première femme à être élue présidente de la République de Chine en 2016, son 1er mandat étant marqué par des tensions avec la Chine populaire, la défense des manifestations démocratiques à Hong Kong, la mise en place de plusieurs réformes (augmentation du salaire minimum, amélioration des services sociaux) ou l'adoption du mariage homosexuel (une première en Asie).

Le 20 mai 2020, la Chunghwa Post de Taïwan a mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet et une série de 4 timbres (conception : Aaron Nieh Workshop) consacrés à l'investiture de Tsai Ing-wen et de son vice-président, Lai Ching-te.
Merci beaucoup George pour l'envoi de ces 2 lettres, envoyées le 25 mai 2020 depuis Taipei, concernant respectivement le bloc-feuillet et les 4 timbres se-tenant de cette série !
J'aime beaucoup le bloc-feuillet (35 NT$) reproduisant une photographie (par Kris Kang) de la présidente et du vice-président, avec un discret drapeau de Taïwan dans la marge à gauche et les profils stylisés de Tsai Ing-wen et Lai Ching-te sur le timbre (également présents sur les 4 timbres).
D'après la Chunghwa Post, cette photographie symbolise les intentions de la présidente et du vice-président de travailler avec détermination et sans peur pour réaliser leur valeurs de pluralisme et d'égalité de manière transparente.
A noter également sur cette enveloppe, le TAD du 1er jour d'émission et un cachet touristique représentant le palais présidentiel à Taipei.
On May 20, 2020, the Taiwanese Chunghwa Post put into circulation a souvenir sheet and a series of 4 stamps (design: Aaron Nieh Workshop) dedicated to the inauguration of Tsai Ing-wen and her vice-president, Lai Ching-te.

I really like the souvenir sheet (NT $ 35) reproducing a photograph (by Kris Kang) of the president and the vice-president, with a discreet flag of Taiwan in the left margin and the stylized profiles of Tsai Ing-wen and Lai Ching-te on the stamp (also present on the 4 stamps).
According to the Chunghwa Post, this photograph symbolizes the intentions of the President and the Vice-President to determinedly and fearlessly work to realize their values of pluralism and equality in a transparent manner.
To note also on this envelope, the postmark of the first day of issue and a tourist cachet representing the presidential office building in Taipei.
Les 4 timbres se-tenant ci-dessus, imprimés dans un même feuillet de 12 timbres, adoptent des approches esthétiques contemporaines pour transmettre les quatre concepts d'épanouissement, de démocratie, de mise en place et de direction...
Les 2 timbre à gauche (8 NT$) représentent respectivement diverses représentations de feux d'artifice éclatant dans le ciel pour symboliser l'épanouissement des valeurs démocratiques et pluralistes à Taïwan et une boîte aux lettres stylisée, avec à l'intérieur un escalier menant au palais présidentiel, symbolisant la démocratie et une communication sans obstacle entre le gouvernement et la population.
Les 2 timbres à droite (15 NT$) représentent une balle de golf sur le point d'entrer dans un trou, exprimant la préparation du gouvernement, qui agit dans l'intérêt public de manière professionnelle, déterminée et consciencieuse et l'idée que lorsque le brouillard se lève, le ciel s'éclaircit et il y a toujours une lumière éloignée pour guider (même si nous marchons sur des routes différentes, nous allons tous dans la même direction).

The 2 stamps on the left (NT $ 8) respectively represent various representations of fireworks exploding in the sky to symbolize the flourishing of democratic and pluralist values in Taiwan and a stylized mailbox, with inside a staircase leading at the presidential office building, symbolizing democracy and unobstructed communication between the government and the people.
The 2 stamps on the right (NT $ 15) represent a golf ball about to enter a hole, expressing the preparedness of the government, acting in the public interest in a professional, determined and dutiful manner and the idea that when a fog lifts, the sky will clear and there will always be a distant lamp providing guidance (although we may be walking down different roads, we are all moving in the same direction).
