"Legend of Mărțișor" stamp on FDC from Moldova

L'arrivée du printemps en Moldavie (mais aussi en Roumanie ou Bulgarie) marque une période de fête dans le pays, associée à l'idée de renouveau, cette saison symbolisant la renaissance, la pureté, l'espérance, un nouveau début et le commencement de nouvelles activités dans la vie.
En Moldavie, on fête le Mărțișor à l'aube du 1er mars, lorsque les habitants se félicitent de l'arrivée du printemps et s'offrent mutuellement en cadeaux des mărțișoare pour porter bonheur et chance.
En Moldavie, le Mărţişor (diminutif de "mars") est porté attaché à la poitrine tout le long du mois de mars puis est ensuite suspendu à un arbre fleuri, dans l'espoir que toute l'année sera fleurie.
Le Mărţişor est une fine ganse formée de deux fils tressés, l'un blanc (printemps) et l'autre rouge (hiver), auxquels on peut attacher une petite figurine en tissu, bois ou métal (un cœur, une lettre, une fleur, un fer à cheval...) jouant le rôle de porte-bonheur. 
The arrival of spring in Moldova (but also in Romania or Bulgaria) marks a time of celebration in the country, coupled with the idea of revival, this season symbolizing rebirth, purity, hope and a new beginning in life. 
In Moldova, we celebrate Mărţişor at dawn on March 1, when inhabitants welcome the arrival of spring and offer each other mărţişoare as gifts to bring happiness and good luck. 
In Moldova, Mărţişor ("March") is worn attached to the breast throughout the month of March and is then hung on a flowering tree, hoping that all the year will be flowery. 
Mărţişor is a thin strap made of two braided yarns, one being white (spring) and the other red (winter), to which one can attach a small figurine made of fabric, wood or metal (a heart, a letter, a flower, a horseshoe...) playing the role of lucky charm.  

Le 1er mars 2024, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un nouveau timbre consacré à cette tradition du Mărțișor et en particulier la légende qui l'accompagne ("Legenda Mărțișorului").
Ce très joli timbre (3,30 L, tirage : 50000), conçu par Veronica Coroli à partir d'une œuvre de Iurii Palcov, imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, est présent sur le splendide FDC officiel ci-dessus (tirage : 200) avec TAD de Chișinău (MD-2012). Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Parmi ces légendes, on raconte que le premier jour de mars, une jolie femme symbolisant le Printemps ("Primăvară") sortit à la lisière de la forêt et remarqua comment, dans un buisson, un perce-neige (Galanthus nivalis) surgissait de sous la neige. Elle décida de l'aider et commença à dégager la neige et à casser les branches épineuses. L'Hiver, voyant cela, s'est mis en colère et a appelé le vent et le gel pour détruire la fleur. La neige a immédiatement gelé.
Le Printemps recouvrit alors la neige avec ses mains, mais elle se blessa au doigt à cause des ronces. Une goutte de sang chaud coulait du doigt, qui, tombant sur la fleur, la faisait revivre. De cette façon, le Printemps a vaincu l'Hiver, et les couleurs du Mărțișor symbolisent son sang rouge sur la neige blanche. 
On March 1, 2024, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a new stamp dedicated to this tradition of Mărțișor and in particular the legend that accompanies it ("Legenda Mărțișorului").
This very pretty stamp (3.30 L, print run: 50,000), designed by Veronica Coroli from a work by Iurii Palcov, printed in a sheetlet of 10 stamps, is present on the splendid official FDC above (print run: 200) with cancellations from Chișinău (MD-2012). Thank you very much Nicolae!
Among these legends, it is said that on the first day of March, a pretty woman symbolizing Spring ("Primăvară") went out to the edge of the forest and noticed how, in a bush, a snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) emerged from under the snow. She decided to help him and began to clear the snow and break the thorny branches. Winter, seeing this, became angry and called upon the wind and frost to destroy the flower. The snow froze immediately.
Spring then covered the snow with her hands, but she injured her finger because of the brambles. A drop of warm blood flowed from the finger, which, falling on the flower, revived it. In this way, Spring defeated Winter, and the colors of Mărțișor symbolize her red blood on white snow.

Nicolae a utilisé 3 autres timbres sur l'autre côté de l'enveloppe ci-dessus, en particulier les 2 timbres (3,30 L, tirage : 100000, conception : Eugeniu Verebceanu) émis le 8 décembre 2023, reproduisant des "Dessins d'enfants" ("Desene ale copiilor") lauréats du Concours républicain d'arts plastiques en 2022 et 2023.
Nicolae used three other stamps on the other side of the envelope above, in particular the two stamps (3.30 L, print run: 100,000, design: Eugeniu Verebceanu) issued on December 8, 2023, reproducing "Children's Drawings" ("Desene ale copiilor"), winners of the Republican Plastic Arts Competition in 2022 and 2023.
