"Villa Madama Accords" joint stamp with Vatican City, on cover from Italy

Le 18 février 1984, le secrétaire d'État du Vatican, le cardinal Agostino Casaroli, et le président du Conseil italien Bettino Craxi, signaient à Rome, dans la Villa Madame, un accord (composé de 14 articles) révisant le Concordat (accords du Latran) de 1929, marquant la formalité finale de longues négociations.
L'objectif de ce nouvel accord était d'actualiser les normes et règles régissant les relations entre la République italienne et l'Église catholique selon les principes de la Constitution républicaine à travers un processus de révision bilatérale. En particulier, cet accord met fin au statut particulier de la religion catholique, qui n'est désormais plus religion d'État en Italie. 
On February 18, 1984, the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Agostino Casaroli, and the President of the Italian Council Bettino Craxi, signed in Rome, in the Villa Madama, an agreement (composed of 14 articles) revising the Concordat (Lateran Treaty) of 1929, marking the final formality of long negotiations.
The objective of this new agreement was to update the norms and rules governing relations between the Italian Republic and the Catholic Church according to the principles of the Republican Constitution through a bilateral revision process. In particular, this agreement puts an end to the special status of the Catholic religion, which is no longer the state religion in Italy.

Le 13 février 2024, les administrations postales d'Italie et du Vatican ont mis en circulation un timbre commun consacré au 40ème anniversaire de la signature de cet Accord de la Villa Madame.
La version italienne de ce timbre (tarif "B" - 1,25€ actuellement, tirage : 250000, conception : Maria Carmela Perrini), imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres par IPZS (Italie), a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée début mai 2024 (TAD non lisible) depuis Imola. Merci beaucoup Salvatore !
Ce timbre montre une vue de la Villa Madame avec les armoiries italiennes et du Vatican au-dessus, tandis que les signatures originales des signataires de cet accord sont affichées sur la gauche. 
La Villa Madame, construite au 16ème siècle (architecte : Raphaël), est officiellement la résidence d'accueil des chefs d'état étrangers reçus par le président du Conseil italien.
On February 13, 2024, the postal administrations of Italy and the Vatican City put into circulation a joint stamp dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the signing of these Villa Madama Accords.
The Italian version of this stamp ("B" rate - €1.25 currently, print run: 250,000, design: Maria Carmela Perrini), printed in a sheet of 50 stamps by IPZS (Italy), was used on the cover above sent at the beginning of May 2024 (unreadable postmark) from Imola. Thank you very much Salvatore!
This stamp shows a view of the Villa Madama with the Italian and Vatican coats of arms above, while the original signatures of the signatories of this agreement are displayed on the left.
The Villa Madama, built in the 16th century (architect: Raphael), is officially the residence for foreign heads of state received by the President of the Italian Council.
