Les administrations postales de Taïwan et de Singapour ont déjà émis des timbres ces dernières années (en 2009 et 2012 respectivement) consacrés à des couples de pandas géants prêtés par la Chine.
Par "diplomatie du panda", j'entends cette pratique de la République Populaire de Chine consistant à offrir ou prêter des pandas géants à d'autres pays afin de renforcer ses relations diplomatiques...
Le 21 mai 2014, 2 pandas géants ont été prêtés cette fois à la Malaisie (pour une durée de 10 ans) afin de célébrer le 40ème anniversaire des relations diplomatiques avec la Chine.
Ces 2 pandas (un mâle et une femelle, nés en 2006) sont "logés" dans le centre de conservation des pandas géants, dans le zoo national ("Zoo Negara") situé dans le nord-est de Kuala Lumpur.

On May 21, 2014, two giant pandas were loaned this time to Malaysia (for 10 years) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations with China.
These two pandas (one male and one female, born in 2006) are "housed" in the Giant Panda Conservation Center, in the National Zoo ("Zoo Negara") located in the northeast of Kuala Lumpur.
Le 25 février 2015, la poste malaisienne a mis en circulation une série de 2 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet consacrée à ces 2 pandas, Liang Liang et Xing Xing.
Les 2 timbres de cette série (70 sen chacun), imprimée en France par Cartor Security Printing, figurent sur la lettre ci-dessus, envoyée le 2 mars 2015 d'Ipoh. Merci beaucoup Khor :-)
A noter le TAD Premier Jour à gauche, indiquant que cette émission est également consacrée au projet international de coopération sur la conservation du panda géant.
On February 25, 2015, the Malaysian Post has released a set of two stamps + one souvenir sheet devoted to these two giant pandas, Liang Liang and Xing Xing.
The two stamps of this series (70 sen each), printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, were used on the letter above, sent on March 2, 2015 from Ipoh. Thank you very much Khor :-)
To note the FDC cancellation on the left, indicating that this issue is also devoted to the international cooperation project on giant panda conservation.
Deux pandas géants, Huan Huan et Yuan Zi, ont été également prêtés pour une durée de 10 ans par la Chine à la France début 2012 (une première depuis 1973 !) et ont été officiellement présentés au public le 2 juin 2012 au Zooparc de Beauval, situé sur la commune de Saint-Aignan (41).
La poste française n'a pas émis de timbre officiel concernant l'arrivée de ces pandas à l'époque mais la vente Premier Jour du bloc "ours" (4 timbres), émis le 21 mars 2014, incluant un timbre "panda géant", avait lieu à Saint-Aignan.

Two Giant Pandas, Huan Huan and Yuan Zi, have been also loaned for a period of 10 years by China to France in early 2012 (a first since 1973 !) and were officially presented to the public on June 2, 2012 at the ZooParc of Beauval, located in the municipality of Saint-Aignan (41).
The French Post had not issued official stamp about the arrival of these Pandas at the time but the preview sale of the "Bears" souvenir sheet (4 stamps) issued on March 21, 2014, including a stamp devoted to the Giant Panda, took place in Saint-Aignan.
