Such as other postal administrations (Switzerland, Algeria, Monaco, San Marino...), the Czech Post issued on March 18, 2015, a spectacular souvenir sheet dedicated to the Universal Exhibition "Milano 2015" to be held from May 1 to October 31, 2015 on a site of 1 million square meters in the north-west of Milan.
The theme of this Expo, "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life", aims to set out a concrete answer to a vital necessity for humanity : to ensure healthy food in sufficient quantity for all in the respect for nature and its delicate balance...
Over 20 million visitors are expected and nearly 150 countries and international organisations will be represented by pavilions declining the theme of food and preservation of resources.

Adam Hoffmeister designed this Czech souvenir sheet, consisting of a 25 CZK stamp, used to partly frank this nice letter above, sent by registered mail from Prague on the first day of issue. Thank you very much Bret :-)
The logo of this Expo as well as a representation of the famous mural "The Last Supper" (1494-1498), made by Leonardo da Vinci for the refectory of the Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, are featured on that stamp, mixing the past and future of this Italian city.
I've already widely mentioned on this blog the round stamp above at the top left, issued on November 26, 2014, dedicated to Jára Cimrman, Czech imaginary heroes who would have invented, among many other things, the round stamp.
The third stamp above, issued on January 20, 2015, is part of a booklet (2 x 4 stamps) entitled "They brought freedom" devoted to different military vehicles and aircrafts used during the 2nd World War, a Harley-Davidson WLA motorcycle here.

Bert also sent me the official FDC above and the First Day commemorative sheet below, regarding the stamp of this souvenir sheet.
The engraving on this envelope to the left evokes the facade of the Milan Cathedral ("Duomo di Milano") dating from the 14th century, the third largest church in the world.
The FDC cancellation depicts the Vitruvian Man, the name of a drawing made around 1492 by Leonardo da Vinci, devoted to the study of human body proportions.

The theme of the Czech pavilion at this Expo 2015 is "Laboratory of Life" and its construction, which began in mid-August 2014, is based on a modular structure, easy to disassemble and reuse again after the end of the Expo.
Visitors will discover the Czech experience and innovation in the area of water resource management and its use, as well as the results achieved by different institutes of biochemical research and nanotechnology applied to environmental protection to human and animal health and to the production of safe food.
