La poste roumaine a rejoint cette année le club des administrations postales européennes (France, Hongrie, Serbie, Slovénie, Estonie, Jersey, Guernesey, Isle de Man, Pologne, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, Belarus...) qui émettent chaque année des timbres consacrés au nouvel an chinois et à sa créature associée.
Entre 10000 et 40000 chinois vivraient actuellement en Roumanie mais je suppose que la poste roumaine a bien compris que cette thématique était très populaire à travers le monde...
Le 23 janvier 2020, la poste roumaine a donc mis en circulation un timbre (8,50 L, tirage : 14148) consacré à l'année du rat de métal ("Anul șobolanului de metal"), conçu par George Ursachi, imprimé en feuille de 28 timbres ainsi que dans un feuillet composé de 4 paires tête-bêche.
The Romanian Post joined this year the club of European postal administrations (France, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Estonia, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Poland, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, Belarus ...) issuing stamps every year devoted to the Chinese New Year and its associated creature.

On January 23, 2020, the Romanian Post therefore put into circulation a stamp (8.50 L, print run: 14,148) dedicated to this New Year of the Metal Rat ("Anul șobolanului de metal"), designed by George Ursachi, printed in sheet of 28 stamps as well as in a sheetlet composed of 4 "tête-bêche" pairs.
Ce timbre a été utilisé sur le pli Premier Jour ci-dessus, avec TAD de Bucarest. Merci beaucoup Mihnea !
Le 25 janvier 2020, l'année du cochon de terre a laissé la place à l'année du rat de métal d'après le calendrier lunaire chinois, et le début d'un nouveau cycle astrologique de 12 ans.
A noter que la poste roumaine a également mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet sur le même thème composé d'un timbre non perforé au centre (28,50 L, tirage : 4750) et de 12 vignettes autour (avec perforation de forme ronde) représentant les 12 animaux de ce cycle lunaire chinois.

On January 25, 2020, the Year of the Earth Pig gave way to the Year of the Metal Rat according to the Chinese lunar calendar, and the start of a new 12-year astrological cycle.
To note that the Romanian Post also put into circulation a souvenir sheet on the same theme composed of an imperforated stamp in the center (28.50 L, print run: 4,750) and 12 labels around (with round-shaped perforations) depicting the 12 animals of this Chinese lunar cycle.
