Le 10 septembre 2018, la poste espagnole Correos a poursuivi sa série "Générations" évoquant des événements ayant marqué les dernières décennies en Espagne, avec un focus sur les années 1980 et 1990 cette fois.
Pour la première fois, les événements représentés ainsi que le style des 2 blocs-feuillets émis ont été choisis par les abonnés au service philatélique de Correos.
Le bloc-feuillet consacré à la génération des années 1990 (tirage : 160000), composé de 4 timbres (0.55 €, 0.65 €, 1.35 €, 1.45 €) aux formes originales (les marges du bloc-feuillet en lui-même épousant le nombre 90), figure sur ce spectaculaire FDC officiel, avec TAD de Madrid. On September 10, 2018, the Spanish Post Correos continued its "Generations" stamp series evoking events that had marked the last decades in Spain, with a focus on the 1980s and 1990s this time.
For the first time, the events in the spotlight as well as the style of the two souvenir sheets issued were chosen by the subscribers to the Correos philatelic service.
The souvenir sheet dedicated to the generation of the 1990s (print run: 160,000), composed of 4 stamps (€ 0.55, € 0.65, € 1.35, € 1.45) with original shapes (the margins of the souvenir sheet itself matching the number 90), is present on this spectacular official FDC, with cancellations from Madrid. Le timbre en forme de cœur à droite, sur fond de drapeau allemand, évoque le processus de réunification de l'Allemagne après la chute du mur de Berlin en 1989, officiellement réalisé le 3 octobre 1990.
Un autre timbre, avec une dentelure suivant les contours de l'URSS, commémore l'effondrement de l'URSS et la dissolution du plus grand état socialiste du monde, marquant ainsi la fin de la Guerre froide.
Parmi les autres thèmes illustrés, la création d'une monnaie européenne unique à travers un timbre sur lequel figure l'image d'un billet de 100 euros.
Deux grands événements dans le domaine sportif et culturel ont attiré tous les regards sur l'Espagne en 1992 et ont changé l'image internationale du pays : les jeux olympiques de Barcelone et l'Exposition universelle de Séville.
Un timbre reproduisant les deux logos de ces événements fait également partie de ce bloc-feuillet, incluant également en haut à gauche la mention "Vers l'infini, et au-delà", la phrase du film Toy Story (1995), premier long-métrage de Pixar et premier film d'animation créé en images de synthèse.
The heart-shaped stamp on the right, with the German flag in the background, is devoted to the process of reunification of Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, officially done on October 3, 1990.
Another stamp, with perforations following the contours of the USSR, commemorates the collapse of the USSR and the dissolution of the largest socialist state in the world, thus marking the end of the Cold War.
Among the other themes illustrated here, the creation of a single European currency through a stamp on which is featured the image of a 100 Euros banknote.
Two major sports and cultural events put Spain in the global spotlight in 1992 and changed the country's international image: the Olympic Games in Barcelona and the Universal Exposition in Seville.
A stamp reproducing the two logos of these events is also part of this souvenir sheet, also including at the top left the mention "To infinity and beyond", the phrase from Toy Story (1995), Pixar's feature film, as well as the first completely animated film with digital effects in the history of cinema.
