"Ion T. Costin (1887-1940)" sur enveloppe pré-timbrée de Moldavie

Le 19 janvier 2021, la poste moldave a mis en circulation sa 1ère enveloppe pré-timbrée de l'année, consacrée à Ion T. Costin (1887-1940), avocat et homme politique à l'époque de la Bessarabie, maire de Chişinău entre 1933 et 1937.
Merci beaucoup Nicolae pour l'envoi de cette enveloppe (1,75 L, tirage : 4000), conçue par Eugen Verebceanu, avec son TAD Premier Jour associé de Chişinău (MD-2012) !
L'illustration sur l'enveloppe représente l'édifice de l'hôtel de ville ("Primăria") de Chişinău, construit initialement en 1901 dans un style éclectique inspiré de l'architecture de la Renaissance italienne. En 1941, lors du retrait des troupes soviétiques, l'édifice a été en partie détruit puis restauré en 1944 par l'administration roumaine. Il fut à nouveau détruit en août 1944 lors des frappes aériennes soviétiques. Après la guerre, le bâtiment a été restauré (entre 1946 et 1948) par l'architecte Robert Kurtz. 
On January 19, 2021, the Post of Moldova put into circulation its first prepaid envelope of the year, dedicated to Ion T. Costin (1887-1940), lawyer and politician at the time of Bessarabia, mayor of Chişinău between 1933 and 1937.

The illustration on the envelope shows the building of the Town Hall building ("Primăria"), originally built in 1901 in an eclectic style inspired by the architecture of the Italian Renaissance. In 1941, during the withdrawal of Soviet troops, the building was partially destroyed and restored in 1944 by the Romanian administration. It was again destroyed in August 1944 during Soviet air strikes. After the war, the building was restored (between 1946 and 1948) by the architect Robert Kurtz. 

 

Avant d'être maire de Chişinău, Ion T. Costin a été directeur général des affaires internes dans les 2 premiers gouvernements de l'éphémère République démocratique moldave en 1917-1918, dirigés respectivement par les présidents du Conseil Pantelimon Erhan et Daniel Ciugureanu.
Ion T. Costin a été également le directeur des journaux "Sfatul Țării" et "Dreptatea" et a voté, le 27 mars 1918, pour l'union de la Bessarabie avec la Roumanie.
Le timbre à 0,90 L ci-dessus fait partie d'une série de 4 timbres, émise le 9 octobre 1998, consacrée aux 140 ans de la 1ère émission des célèbres "Cap de bour" (considérés comme les premières marques postales de l'histoire moldave et roumaine) en juillet 1858. Les 4 valeurs initiales (27, 54, 81 et 108 parales), avec la mention "porto scrisorii" en caractères cyrilliques, sont reproduites sur ces 4 timbres. 
Le 3ème timbre à 8,50 roubles (puis 8,50 L depuis le 1er février 2006) fait partie d'une série de 4 timbres émise le 20 juillet 1992, représentant un même motif d'avion supersonique, avec des couleurs différentes.

Before being mayor of Chişinău, Ion T. Costin was Director General of Internal Affairs in the first 2 governments of the short-lived Moldavian Democratic Republic in 1917-1918, led respectively by Presidents of the Council Pantelimon Erhan and Daniel Ciugureanu.

Ion T. Costin was also the director of the newspapers "Sfatul Țării" and "Dreptatea" and voted, on March 27, 1918, for the union of Bessarabia with Romania.

The 0.90 L stamp above is part of a series of 4 stamps, issued on October 9, 1998, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the first issue of the famous "Cap de bour" (considered as the first stamps of Moldovan and Romanian history) in July 1858. The 4 initial values ​​(27, 54, 81 and 108 parales), with the mention "porto scrisorii" in Cyrillic characters, are reproduced on these 4 stamps.
The 3rd 8.50-ruble stamp (then 8.50 L from February 1, 2006) is part of a series of 4 stamps issued on July 20, 1992, representing the same supersonic aircraft, with different colors.
