"Songbirds" franking label on cover from Åland

Étiquette d'affranchissement "Oiseaux chanteurs" sur lettre d'Åland

Après une série similaire consacrée à différentes fleurs sauvages en 2020, la poste de l'archipel d'Åland, un territoire autonome rattaché à la Finlande (situé dans le golfe de Botnie, entre la Suède et la Finlande), a mis en circulation, le 2 février 2021, une nouvelle série d'étiquettes d'affranchissement, consacrée cette fois à différentes espèces d'oiseaux chanteurs communs localement.
Une de ces 4 nouvelles étiquettes d'affranchissement a été utilisée sur cette lettre envoyée le 18 février 2021 depuis Mariehamn, la capitale d'Åland. Merci beaucoup Maxim !
Ces 4 nouvelles étiquettes d'affranchissement, autocollantes, ont été imprimées par Walsall Security Printing (Royaume-Uni) et sont normalement disponibles chacune au tarif de 1,90€.
After a similar series devoted to different wildflowers in 2020, the Post of the Åland Archipelago, an autonomous Finnish territory (located in the Gulf of Bothnia, between Sweden and Finland), put into circulation, on February 2, 2021 a new series of franking labels, devoted this time to different songbird species commonly found locally.
One of these 4 new franking labels was used on this letter sent on February 18, 2021 from Mariehamn, the capital of Åland. Thank you very much Maxim!
These 4 new self-adhesive franking labels were printed by Walsall Security Printing, UK and are normally each available at a rate of € 1.90. 

 

Cette série est à nouveau très réussie, conçue à partir d'illustrations de l'artiste suédoise Anna Handell, par ailleurs une adepte de cette thématique des oiseaux.
A noter que cette vignette est au tarif de 2€ correspondant à un envoi en Europe (hors Finlande) jusqu'à 20g.
L'oiseau représenté sur cette vignette, chantant au milieu de fleurs d'oxalis, est un pinson des arbres (Fringilla coelebs), la deuxième espèce d'oiseau la plus commune à Åland, après le pouillot fitis (Phylloscopus trochilus), également à l'honneur sur cette série. Cet oiseau est reconnaissable par son chant mais également son ventre et sa gorge rosâtre ainsi que ses 2 barres blanches sur les ailes.
Les 2 autres oiseaux représentés sur cette série sont le rouge-gorge familier (Erithacus rubecula) et la fauvette à tête noire (Sylvia atricapilla).

This series is once again very successful, based on illustrations by Swedish artist Anna Handell, who is also a fan of this bird theme.

To note that this franking label costs € 2.00 corresponding to a shipment in Europe (excluding Finland) up to 20g.

The bird depicted on this label, singing amid wood sorrel blossoms, is a common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs), the second most common bird species in Åland, after the willow warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus), also in the spotlight on this series. This bird is recognizable by its song but also its pinkish belly and throat as well as its 2 white bars on the wings.

The other 2 birds depicted in this series are the European robin (Erithacus rubecula) and the Eurasian blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla).
