Le 12 avril 1961, le cosmonaute soviétique Youri Gagarine (1934-1968) devenait le premier homme à séjourner dans l'espace à bord de la capsule Vostok 3KA-2, réalisant une révolution complète autour de la Terre pendant 108 minutes.
Youri Gagarine, qui reçu le titre honorifique de Héros de l'Union soviétique, devint une véritable icône internationale après cet exploit et l'URSS damait ainsi le pion aux États-Unis dans cette course effrénée à la conquête spatiale...
Le 12 avril 2021, la poste serbe a mis en circulation un intéressant carnet composé d'un feuillet (3 timbres à 85 dinars + 3 vignettes) consacré au 60ème anniversaire de ce premier vol spatial habité.
Merci beaucoup Antea pour cette lettre envoyée le 4 octobre 2021 depuis Novi Sad, affranchie avec ce bloc-feuillet numéroté (05299/10000) conçu par Nadežda Skočajić en collaboration avec l'agence chargée du programme spatial civil russe "Roscosmos".
On April 12, 1961, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968) became the first man to be sent into space aboard the capsule Vostok 3KA-2, making a complete revolution around the Earth during 108 minutes.

On April 12, 2021, the Serbian Post put into circulation an interesting booklet consisting of a miniature sheet (3 stamps at 85 dinars + 3 labels) dedicated to the 60th anniversary of this first manned space flight.
Thank you very much Antea for this letter sent on October 4, 2021 from Novi Sad, stamped with this numbered miniature sheet (05299/10000) designed by Nadežda Skočajić in collaboration with the agency in charge of the Russian civil space program "Roscosmos".

 

Le premier américain envoyé dans l'espace, le 5 mai 1961, sera l'astronaute Alan Shepard à bord d'une capsule Mercury-Redstone 3, lors d'un vol sub-orbital de 15 minutes seulement. Suivirent l'américain Virgil Grissom le 21 juillet 1961 puis le soviétique Guerman Titov le 6 août 1961 qui passa, à bord de sa capsule Vostok 2, plus d'une journée dans l'espace (17 orbites autour de la Terre).
À ce jour, Titov est le plus jeune astronaute à avoir voler dans l'espace à l'âge de seulement 26 ans, et il a a été le premier homme à photographier et filmer la Terre depuis son orbite. Guerman Titov (1935-2000) s'est rendu à Belgrade à l'automne 1961.
Valentina Terechkova (née en 1937) a été la première femme à voler dans l'espace le 16 juin 1963. À ce jour, Terechkova reste la plus jeune femme astronaute et la seule femme à avoir volé dans l'espace toute seule. La mission spatiale Vostok 6 a duré près de 3 jours, au cours desquels Terechkova a effectué 48 orbites autour de la Terre.
Ces 3 cosmonautes soviétiques sont à l'honneur sur les 3 timbres de ce feuillet, les vignettes illustrant les orbites et capsules utilisées lors de ces vols spatiaux.

The first American sent into space, on May 5, 1961, was the astronaut Alan Shepard aboard a Mercury-Redstone 3 capsule, during a sub-orbital flight of only 15 minutes. American Virgil Grissom followed on July 21, 1961, then the Soviet Gherman Titov on August 6, 1961, who spent more than a day in space on board his Vostok 2 capsule (17 orbits around the Earth).

To date, Titov is the youngest astronaut to fly into space at the age of just 26, and he was the first man to photograph and film Earth from orbit. Gherman Titov (1935-2000) visited Belgrade in the autumn of 1961.

Valentina Tereshkova (born in 1937) was the first woman to fly into space on June 16, 1963. To this day, Tereshkova remains the youngest female astronaut and the only woman to have flown in space on her own. The Vostok 6 space mission lasted almost 3 days, during which Tereshkova made 48 orbits around the Earth.
