Série "Perles de la nature kirghize. Lac Sary-Chelek" sur FDC du Kirghizstan (KEP)
Le lac Sary-Chelek est l'un des plus grands et des plus pittoresques lacs d'eau douce du Kirghizstan. Il est situé à 500 kilomètres de Bichkek et à 300 kilomètres d'Och, au sein de la réserve de biosphère d'État de Sary-Chelek, dans le nord-ouest du pays.
Créée en 1959, la réserve, désignée réserve mondiale de la biosphère par l'UNESCO en 1978, se trouve dans les gorges d'Arkyt, dans les monts Chatkal. Situé à 1878 mètres d'altitude, le lac s'étend sur 7,5 kilomètres de long et sa largeur varie de 350 à 1 500 mètres. Son point le plus profond atteint 234 mètres, ce qui en fait le deuxième lac le plus profond du Kirghizstan, après le lac Issyk-Koul.
Le nom "Sary-Chelek" signifie "Louche Jaune". On pense généralement que le lac doit son nom au fait qu'en automne, lorsque tous les arbres jaunissent, le paysage ressemble à une louche remplie de miel. La zone entourant le lac, à l'intérieur des limites de la réserve, abrite plus de 1000 espèces de plantes, environ 175 espèces d'oiseaux et 34 espèces de mammifères.
Lake Sary-Chelek is one of the largest and most picturesque freshwater lakes in Kyrgyzstan. It is located 500 kilometers from Bishkek and 300 kilometers from Osh, within the Sary-Chelek State Biosphere Reserve in the northwest of the country.
Established in 1959, the reserve, designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in 1978, is located in the Arkyt Gorge in the Chatkal Mountains. Situated at an altitude of 1,878 meters, the lake is 7.5 kilometers long and varies in width from 350 to 1,500 meters. Its deepest point reaches 234 meters, making it the second deepest lake in Kyrgyzstan, after Lake Issyk-Kul.
The name "Sary-Chelek" means "Yellow Dipper". The lake is generally believed to have gotten its name from the fact that in autumn, when all the trees turn yellow, the landscape resembles a ladle filled with honey.
The area surrounding the lake, within the boundaries of the reserve, is home to over 1,000 plant species, approximately 175 bird species, and 34 mammal species.

le 2ème opérateur postal désigné (l'autre étant la poste kirghize) du
Kirghizstan, a voulu rappeler au monde en mettant en circulation, le 10 mars 2025, une splendide série (3 timbres, avec millésime 2024) consacrée à cette perle de la nature kirghize.
Ces 3 timbres (tirage : 9000 chacun) figurent sur le FDC officiel
ci-dessus (tirage : 300) envoyé en recommandé depuis Bichkek, la capitale.
Lake Sary-Chelek is undeniably a pearl of Kyrgyzstan's natural heritage, something that Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), Kyrgyzstan's second designated postal operator (the other being Kyrgyz Post), wished to remind the world by releasing, on March 10, 2025, a splendid set (3 stamps, with the year 2024) dedicated to this pearl of Kyrgyz nature.
These three stamps (print run: 9,000 each) are present on the official FDC above (print run: 300), sent by registered mail from Bishkek, the capital.
Ces 3 timbres (50, 150 et 300 KGS), conçus par Daria Maier et
imprimés en Moldavie par Nova Imprim, reproduisent des photographies du lac Sary-Chelek à différentes périodes de l'année, prises par le photographe kirghize professionnel Vladislav Ouchakov.
A noter que le logo officiel du tourisme du Kirghizstan (et son slogan associé "Tant à découvrir!") figure sur ces 3 timbres.
Ces 3 timbres ont été imprimés dans le joli bloc-feuillet ci-dessus (tirage : 3000), avec des vignettes illustrant des espèces de mammifères vivant dans la réserve de Sary-Chelek : léopard des neiges (Panthera uncia), porc-épic indien (Hystrix indica) et Sanglier (Sus scrofa).
These three stamps (50, 150, and 300 KGS), designed by Daria Maier and printed in Moldova by Nova Imprim, depict photographs of Lake Sary-Chelek at different times of the year, taken by professional Kyrgyz photographer Vladislav Ushakov.
To note that the official Kyrgyz tourism logo (and its associated slogan "So much to discover!") appears on these three stamps.
These three stamps have been printed in the attractive souvenir sheet above (print run: 3,000), with labels illustrating mammal species living in the Sary-Chelek reserve: Snow leopard (Panthera uncia), Indian crested porcupine (Hystrix indica) and Wild boar (Sus scrofa).
Ces 3 timbres ont également été imprimés chacun en feuillet composé de 4 timbres (voir ci-dessus) avec des vignettes illustrant d'autres espèces de mammifères vivant dans la réserve de Sary-Chelek : pika roux du Turkestan (Ochotona rutila), cerf élaphe (Cervus elaphus), renard roux (Vulpes vulpes), lynx du Turkestan (Lynx lynx isabellinus), ours brun iabelle (Ursus arctos isabellinus) et loup gris (Canis lupus).
These 3 stamps were also each printed in a sheetlet composed of 4 stamps (see above) with labels illustrating other species of mammals living in the Sary-Chelek reserve: Turkestan red pika (Ochotona rutila), Red deer (Cervus elaphus), Red fox (Vulpes vulpes), Turkestan lynx (Lynx lynx isabellinus), Himalayan brown bear (Ursus arctos isabellinus), Gray wolf (Canis lupus).
La KEP a également mis en circulation les 3 jolies cartes maximum
ci-dessus (tirage : 300
chacune), numérotées de MC-132 à MC-134, concernant les 3 timbres de
cette série, illustrant d'autres photographies de ce lac Sary-Chelek.
The KEP also put into circulation the 3 beautiful maxicards above (print run: 300 each), numbered from MC-132 to MC-134, concerning the 3 stamps of this series, illustrating other photographs of this Sary-Chelek lake.
