Bloc "JO de Londres" à Hong Kong - Pli 1er Jour

"London Olympics" m/s from Hong Kong - FDC

At London, for the 30th Olympiad, the Hong Kong delegation is composed of 42 athletes competing in 13 sports : archery, athletics, badminton, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, judo, rowing, sailing, shooting, swimming, table tennis and weightlifting.
The track cyclist Lee Wai Sze has won the third Olympic medal (bronze in women's keirin) of Hong Kong history after a gold medal in 1996 (windsurfing) and a silver medal in 2004 (table tennis).
The opening day of these Olympic Games in London, July 27, 2012, the Hongkong Post has issued an interesting and colorful souvenir sheet of four stamps.

The official logo of the London Games is included on each stamp as well as in the right margin with also some of the most emblematic monuments of the British capital : Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Eye and 30 St Mary Axe.
This sheet, which is the sixth issue of the Hong Kong Post dedicated to the Olympic Games, was designed to give us a 3D effect with stamps evoking sports in which HK athletes have participated in the past : rowing and windsurfing ($ 1.40), badminton and archery ($ 2.40), table tennis and cycling ($ 3.00), swimming and athletics ($ 5.00).
These four stamps, each including the digits 2, 0, 1, 2, combine to form a sphere maybe symbolizing the universality of the Olympic Games.
