Comme de coutume, la poste moldave a à nouveau émis cette année (le 15 novembre 2017) une série (6 timbres) consacrée à différentes personnalités illustres, moldaves ou étrangères.

Le 1er timbre (1,20 L, tirage : 200000) rend hommage à Vladimir Andrunachievici (1917-1997), mathématicien moldave, membre de l'Académie des sciences, qui a largement contribué au développement de l'enseignement des mathématiques dans le pays, auteur de plus de 100 articles scientifiques sur la théorie des anneaux et des modules.
Le sculpteur Leonid Fitov (1917-1998) est représenté sur le timbre suivant (1,75 L, tirage : 100000), disciple d'Alexandru Plămădeală, auteur en particulier du buste de l'écrivain Constantin Stamati (1954, à droite sur ce timbre) faisant partie de la célèbre "Allée des Classiques" (28 bustes consacrés à des personnalités politiques ou de la littérature roumaine et moldave) située dans le parc Étienne le Grand, dans le centre de Chişinău.
As usual, the Post of Moldova has again issued this year (on November 15, 2017) a series (6 stamps) dedicated to different famous (Moldovan or foreign) personalities.

The first stamp (L 1.20, print run: 200,000) pays tribute to Vladimir Andrunachievici (1917-1997), a Moldovan mathematician, member of the Academy of Sciences, who has contributed significantly to the development of mathematics education in the country , author of more than 100 scientific articles on rings and modules theory.
Sculptor Leonid Fitov (1917-1998) is featured on the following stamp (L 1.75, print run: 100,000), disciple of Alexandru Plămădeală, author in particular of the bust of the writer Constantin Stamati (1954, on the right on this stamp) being part of the famous "Alley of Classics" (28 busts dedicated to Romanian and Moldovan political or literature figures), a sculptural complex located in the Stephen the Great Park in central Chişinău.
Le timbre suivant (2 L, tirage : 200000) est consacré au compositeur et accordéoniste Dumitru Gheorghiță (1917-1987) qui fut membre de l'Union des Compositeurs de la République de Moldavie à partir de 1961 et qui a composé des œuvres symphoniques pour l'orchestre de musique folklorique, des pièces chorales ou des chansons pour enfants.
Le baron Alexandru Stuart (1842-1917), scientifique, biologiste et muséographe, est représenté sur le timbre suivant (5,20 L, tirage : 200000) à côté de la façade du Musée national d'ethnographie et d'histoire naturelle à Chișinău dont il fut le 1er directeur.
Alexandru Stuart était déjà à l'honneur en 2005 sur une enveloppe pré-timbrée consacrée aux 100 ans de ce musée.
Le 5ème timbre (5,75 L, tirage : 200000) est consacré à Mihail Kogălniceanu (1817-1891), historien et homme politique roumain qui fut président du Conseil des ministres des Principautés unies de Moldavie et de Valachie entre 1863 et 1865. La poste roumaine lui a également consacré 2 timbres cette année.
L'écrivain, satiriste et essayiste anglo-irlandais Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) est la dernière personnalité honorée ici (9,50 L, tirage : 100000), célèbre pour avoir écrit "Les Voyages de Gulliver" (1726). Swift est souvent considéré comme le plus grand satiriste en prose de la langue anglaise.
The following stamp (L 2.00, print run: 200,000) is dedicated to the composer and accordionist Dumitru Gheorghiţă (1917-1987) who was a member of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Moldova from 1961 and composed symphonic works for the orchestra of folk music, choral pieces or children's songs.
Baron Alexandru Stuart (1842-1917), scientist, biologist and museographer, is represented on the following stamp (L 5.20, print run: 200,000) next to the facade of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History in Chişinău (he was the first director).
Alexandru Stuart was already in the spotlight in 2005 on a prepaid envelope dedicated to the 100 years of this museum.
The 5th stamp (L 5.75, print run: 200,000) is devoted to Mihail Kogălniceanu (1817-1891), Romanian historian and politician who was president of the Council of Ministers of the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia between 1863 and 1865. The Romanian Post has also dedicated him two stamps this year.
The English-Irish writer, satirist and essayist Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) is the last honored personality here (L 9.50, print run: 100,000), famous for his work "Gulliver's Travels" (1726). Swift is often considered as the foremost prose satirist in the English language.
