Depuis 1999, un bureau postal de l'enfant Jésus (adresse : "999 99 Ježiško", Ježiško signifiant "Père Noël") ou poste de Noël ("Vianočná pošta") est ouvert chaque année dans la petite ville de Rajecká Lesná (nord du pays).
En 18 ans d'existence, plus de 1,7 millions de lettres y ont été reçues (principalement de Slovaquie mais aussi de l'étranger) et c'est la poste slovaque qui se charge de transmettre les réponses.
Le 10 novembre 2017, la poste slovaque a mis en circulation un timbre (tarif permanent "T2 50g"- 0,50€ actuellement, tirage : 1000000) consacré à cette poste de Noël (des timbres similaires sont émus depuis 2013), reproduisant un dessin d'enfant reçu par ce bureau postal l'année dernière.

On November 10, 2017, the Slovak Post issued a stamp (permanent tariff "T2 50g" - currently €0.50, print run: 1 million) devoted to this Christmas Post (similar stamps are issued since 2013), reproducing a drawing of a child received by this post office last year.
Ce timbre ("Bonhomme de neige", dessin de Barbora Ďuríková de l'école primaire de Komárno) figure à droite sur cette jolie lettre envoyée le 27 novembre 2017 depuis cette petite ville de Rajecká Lesná. Merci beaucoup Miloš !
Le TAD illustré (conception : Adrian Ferda) montrant une représentation de la Vierge (statue, peinture ?), est un des 4 TAD différents délivrés par ce bureau postal de Noël cette année.
L'autre timbre (0,50€, tirage : 1700000), émis le 16 novembre 2017, est le timbre spécifiquement consacré à Noël émis cette année par la poste slovaque, représentant une partie d'une peinture ornementale (vigne, épis de blé, fleurs, oiseaux, abeilles et grenades) de l'église Notre-Dame des Sept Douleurs à Vajnory (un arrondissement de Bratislava), une création de la peintre Hedviga Krištofičová (1909-1999).
That stamp ("Snowman", drawing by Barbora Ďuríková from Komárno Primary School) is present on the right on this beautiful letter sent on November 27, 2017 from this small town of Rajecká Lesná. Thank you very much Miloš!

The other stamp (€ 0.50, print run: 1,700,000), issued on November 16, 2017, is the stamp specifically dedicated to Christmas issued this year by the Slovak Post, representing a part of an ornamental folk painting (vine, ears of wheat , flowers, birds, bees and pomegranates) of the Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows in Vajnory (a district of Bratislava), a creation by painter Hedviga Krištofičová (1909-1999).
