Le 17 décembre 2020, la poste maltaise a mis en circulation un très joli bloc-feuillet numéroté (conception : Miguel Farrugia, tirage : 15000) sur cette thématique, utilisé sur cette lettre envoyée le 31 décembre 2020 depuis le bureau du musée postal de La Valette. Merci beaucoup Silvan !

On December 17, 2020, the Maltese Post put into circulation a very nice numbered miniature sheet (design: Miguel Farrugia, print run: 15,000) on this theme, used on this letter sent on December 31, 2020 from the post office of the Postal Museum in Valletta. Thank you very much Silvan!

Ce bloc-feuillet a été conçu à partir d'un célèbre portrait du musicien (en train de composer la Missa solemnis) datant de 1820, par le peintre allemand Joseph Karl Stieler, exposé dans sa maison natale à Bonn.
Je ne sais pas exactement à quelles œuvres de Beethoven font référence les partitions dans le fond ?
A noter que le logo officiel des célébrations de ce 250ème anniversaire, "BTHVN2020" (rappelant que Beethoven signait parfois certaines de ses partitions et lettres avec uniquement les 5 consonnes de son nom), figure dans la marge à droite de ce bloc-feuillet.
Avec sa musique immortelle, Beethoven est considéré comme un artiste radical et un visionnaire créatif, ayant défendu passionnément les idéaux de liberté et de fraternité, en particulier à travers sa Symphonie n°9 composée entre 1822 et 1824, ayant profondément influencé l'histoire de la musique au 19ème et 20ème siècle.
