Prepaid envelope "140 years since the birth of Ion Inculeț" from Moldova

Au début du 20ème siècle, suite à la désintégration de l'Empire russe après la révolution de février 1917, de nombreuses personnalités (Gherman Pântea, Anton Crihan, Pan Halippa, Constantin Stere...) ont milité pour un rapprochement de la Bessarabie avec la Roumanie voisine, ce qui fut fait à travers la proclamation de l'union de la République démocratique moldave (le nom pris par la Bessarabie autonome après la Révolution russe) et la Roumanie, signée en avril 1918.
Auparavant, l'autonomie puis l'indépendance de la République démocratique moldave fut proclamée à Chișinău, respectivement le 2 décembre 1917 et le 24 janvier 1918, par une assemblée législative appelée "Sfatul Țării" ("Conseil du Pays").
Un congrès des représentants des coopératives de villages décida en avril 1917 de la création de cette assemblée "Sfatul Țării".
At the beginning of the 20th century, following the disintegration of the Russian Empire after the revolution of February 1917, many personalities (Gherman Pântea, Anton Crihan, Pan Halippa, Constantin Stere...) campaigned for a rapprochement of Bessarabia with neighboring Romania, which was done through the proclamation of the Union of the Moldavian Democratic Republic (the name taken by autonomous Bessarabia after the Russian Revolution) and Romania, signed in April 1918.
Previously, the autonomy and then the independence of the Moldavian Democratic Republic was proclaimed in Chişinău respectively on December 2, 1917 and January 24, 1918 by a legislative assembly called "Sfatul Ţării" ("Country Council").
A congress of the representatives of the village cooperatives decided in April 1917 of the creation of this assembly "Sfatul Ţării". 

Ion Inculeț (1884-1940), médecin, pédagogue, scientifique et homme politique, fut le premier président de ce "Sfatul Țării", du 21 novembre 1917 au 2 avril 1918 (Constantin Stere lui succéda).
Il devint ensuite membre de l'Académie roumaine en 1918, et député au Parlement roumain la même année. De 1918 à 1940, il occupa diverses fonctions ministérielles dans différents gouvernements roumains (ministre de la santé, ministre des affaires sociales et ministre de l'intérieur). 
Le 5 avril 2024, la poste moldave a mis en circulation une enveloppe pré-timbrée (3,30 L, tirage : 200, conception : Eugeniu Verebceanu) consacrée au 140ème anniversaire de la naissance de Ion Inculeț.

Un portrait de Ion Inculeț figure en haut à droite avec une carte de cette union entre la Bessarabie et la Roumanie dans le fond. L'acte d'union ("actul unirii") du 27 mars 1918 est reproduit à gauche sur l'enveloppe (le nom de Ion Inculeț y figure en tant que président du "Sfatul Țării").
Nicolae a utilisé un autre timbre (0,90L), émis le 10 décembre 1998, consacré au 80ème anniversaire de cette union entre la Bessarabie et la Roumanie. 
Ion Inculeț (1884-1940), doctor, teacher, scientist and politician, was the first president of this "Sfatul Țării", from November 21, 1917 to April 2, 1918 (Constantin Stere succeeded him).
He then became a member of the Romanian Academy in 1918, and a deputy in the Romanian Parliament the same year. From 1918 to 1940, he held various ministerial positions in different Romanian governments (Minister of Health, Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of the Interior).
On April 5, 2024, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a prepaid envelope (3.30 L, print run: 200, design: Eugeniu Verebceanu) dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of Ion Inculeț.

A portrait of Ion Inculeț appears at the top right with a map of this union between Bessarabia and Romania in the background. The act of union ("actul unirii") of March 27, 1918 is reproduced on the left on the envelope (the name of Ion Inculeț appears there as president of "Sfatul Țării").
Nicolae used another stamp (0.90 L), issued on December 10, 1998, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of this union between Bessarabia and Romania.
