2015 EUROPA stamp from France

As usual in France, the anticipated sale of the EUROPA stamp was held this year May 2, 2015, in Paris (at the "Carré d'Encre") but also at the European Parliament in Strasbourg (67).
I was lucky enough to receive the four First Day items below from Strasbourg and Paris regarding that stamp (€ 0.95, print run : 1 million), issued in sheet of 42 stamps, designed for the first time by the Broll & Prascida Graphic Design and Illustration studio.
The name Broll & Prascida, created in 2010 by Anne-Charlotte Laurans, refers to two imaginary languages, a theme that is found in many productions of that studio.

So a rather good idea that Phil@poste had to call upon this studio to design a stamp referring to our childhood memories, since the theme chosen this year by PostEurop for EUROPA stamps is devoted to old toys.
With that stamp, we're transported to the middle of the last century in a child's bedroom where some toys seem to have found life : a teddy bear on a rocking horse, a metal plane and robot, a rabbit-shaped roly-poly toy, a little red car, a mechanical frog, a music box, skittles, dices, marbles and pieces of meccano.
The wording of that stamp ("Antique Toys" in French) finally appears in the form of wooden blocks.

A big thank you Olivier for this First Day card above, published by the European Parliament on the occasion of an open doors day on May 2, 2015 :-)
This card is reminding us that 2015 is the European Year for development.
To note that the Broll & Prascida studio also designed the very nice spinning top-shaped FDC postmark.
I do not know the sources of inspiration used by the designers of that stamp but, in France, the toy department of the Decorative Arts Museum in Paris (established in 1975) keeps more than 15,000 toys (from mid-19th to mid-20th century ), one of the largest toy's collections in the country.

A big thank you also to Joël, Roland and Joël for these three other First Day Covers from Strasbourg and Paris !
To note that the same FDC cancellation was available in the two cities.
