Tribute to photographer Taras Kuščynskyj (and his model!) on Czech FDC

Hommage au photographe Taras Kuščynskyj (et à son modèle !) sur FDC tchèque

Le 8 novembre 2017, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation 2 nouveaux timbres dans sa série "Œuvres d'art sur timbres-poste" dont un consacré au photographe Taras Kuščynskyj (1932-1983) et en particulier son œuvre intitulée "Schoulená" ("Câlinée") datant de 1972 (collection privée).
Ce timbre (32 CZK) figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 3400) avec TAD de Prague et reproduction à gauche d'une autre photographie de Taras Kuščynskyj intitulée "Le dos".
Merci beaucoup Bret pour ce FDC, incluant la signature de Dana Vašátková Pitchon (née en 1957) qui fut le modèle de Taras Kuščynskyj sur la photographie reproduite sur le timbre !
On November 8, 2017, the Czech Post issued two new stamps in its series "Works of art on Postage stamps" including one dedicated to the photographer Taras Kuščynskyj (1932-1983) and in particular his work entitled "Schoulená" ("Cuddled") dating from 1972 (private collection).
That stamp (32 CZK) is present on the official FDC below (print run: 3,400) with postmarks from Prague and a reproduction on the left of another photograph by Taras Kuščynskyj entitled "The back".
Thank you very much Bret for this FDC, including the signature of Dana Vašátková Pitchon (born in 1957) who was the model of Taras Kuščynskyj on the photograph reproduced on the stamp!


Dana Vašátková Pitchon a été top model en Tchécoslovaquie entre 1966 et 1979 puis est devenue photographe (de mode et paysages en particulier) ensuite.
Taras Kuščynskyj a été un des principaux photographes tchèques spécialisés dans la publicité et la photographie de portraits et de nus féminins.
En 1966, il est devenu photographe indépendant et a exposé ses oeuvres en Tchécoslovaquie mais aussi à l'étranger (Pays-Bas, Autriche, Japon).
Il était un photographe de plein air qui a toujours refusé l'éclairage artificiel et tout équipement spécial.
Dana Vašátková Pitchon was a top model in Czechoslovakia between 1966 and 1979 and then became a (fashion and landscapes) photographer afterwards.
Taras Kuščynskyj was one of the leading Czech photographers specializing in the advertising and portrait photography and female nudes.
In 1966, he became an independent photographer and exhibited his works in Czechoslovakia as well as abroad (Netherlands, Austria, Japan).
He was an outdoor photographer who always refused artificial lighting and any special equipment.


Ce timbre (tirage : 92000) a été imprimé dans le feuillet composé de 4 timbres ci-dessus, avec la signature de Dana Vašátková Pitchon sur la vignette centrale.
Et comme de coutume, Bret a eu également la gentillesse de m'envoyer le feuillet commémoratif Premier Jour ci-dessous concernant ce même timbre !
That stamp (print run: 92,000) was printed in the sheetlet consisting of 4 stamps above, with the signature of Dana Vašátková Pitchon on the central coupon.
And as usual, Bret was also kind enough to send me the First Day commemorative sheet below about that same stamp!
