La France a été un des premiers pays à reconnaître l'indépendance de Singapour en 1965.
Afin de célébrer les 50 ans de l'établissement de ces relations diplomatiques entre Singapour et la France, les administrations postales des 2 pays ont mis en circulation le 18 mai 2015, une série de 2 timbres communs consacrée au "Street Art".
Ce 18 mai 2015 correspond au dévoilement officiel de ces 2 timbres au palais de l'Élysée à Paris lors de la visite officielle du président de Singapour, Tony Tan Keng Yam.
Mais cette série n'a été officiellement proposée à la vente que le 5 juin 2015...
Ces 2 timbres, imprimés en France par Phil@poste, ont été émis sous différentes formes à Singapour dont le bloc-feuillet (version gommée) inclus sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous. Merci beaucoup Terence !
France was among the first countries to recognize the independence of Singapore in 1965.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of these diplomatic relations between Singapore and France, the postal administrations of the two countries have put into circulation on May 18, 2015, a series of two joint stamps devoted to "Street Art".
That day of May 18, 2015 corresponds to the official unveiling of these two stamps at the Elysee Palace in Paris during the official visit of President of Singapore Tony Tan.
But this series was officially offered for sale only on June 5, 2015...
These two stamps, printed in France by Phil@poste, have been issued on different forms in Singapore, including the souvenir sheet (gummed version) on the official FDC below. Thank you very much Terence !
Ces 2 timbres évoquent des motifs tagués sur des murs, respectivement une tour Eiffel et la mention "Paris" (1st Local, conception : Sophie Beaujard) et le Merlion, symbole de Singapour (2$, conception : Ivory Seah).
A noter que cette série commune a été émise également dans le cadre du festival "Singapour en France", organisé dans les principales villes françaises, du 26 mars au 30 juin 2015, par le National Heritage Board (Singapour), le National Arts Council (Singapour) et l'Institut français.
A noter également que la version française de cette émission commune ne fait pas partie du programme officiel français des timbres commémoratifs et n'a été émise qu'en version autocollante (type MonTimbraMoi) dans un collector (4 timbres validité "Monde 20g", tirage : 3075 seulement).
Il semble qu'un collector, composé de 2 timbres français et 2 timbres de Singapour (version autocollante), ait également été émis, incluant les TAD Premier Jour des 2 pays...
Pour rappel, une émission commune (officielle !) avait déjà été émise entre les 2 pays en 2013, consacrée à la mode.
These two stamps are featuring tagged patterns on walls, respectively an Eiffel Tower and the word "Paris" (1st Local, design : Sophie Beaujard) and the Merlion, symbol of Singapore ($ 2, design : Ivory Seah).
To note that this joint set was also issued as part of the "Singapore in France" Festival organized in the main French cities, from March 26 to June 30, 2015, by the National Heritage Board (Singapore), the National Arts Council ( Singapore) and the French Institute.
To note also that the French version of this joint issue is not part of the French official philatelic program and was only issued in self-adhesive version (type "MonTimbraMoi") in a collector (four "World 20g" stamps, print run : 3,075 only).
It seems that a collector consisting of two French stamps and two Singapore stamps (self-adhesive version) was also issued, including the FDC cancellations of the two countries...
As a reminder, a joint (official !) issue had already been issued between the two countries in 2013, dedicated to fashion.
