A la fin de la 1ère guerre mondiale et précédant le traité de Trianon redéfinissant les frontières de plusieurs pays d'Europe centrale et orientale (dont la Roumanie), une liaison aérienne entre Paris et Bucarest a été suggérée par le grand diplomate roumain Nicolae Titulescu à son homologue français...
Le 23 avril 1920, la Compagnie Franco-Roumaine de Navigation Aérienne (CFRNA), "Compania Franco-Română de Navigație Aeriană" en roumain, la 1ère compagnie mondiale de transport aérien transcontinental de passagers, marchandises et objets postaux, était ainsi créée.
Pour commémorer le 95ème anniversaire de la création de la CFRNA, la poste roumaine a mis en circulation, le 1er septembre 2015, un TAD spécial, disponible dans le bureau de poste de Bucarest 63.
Ce TAD, représentant un aéronef de type "Potez IX", un des avions utilisés à l'époque (avec également des "Potez VII") par cette compagnie, pilotés par les plus grands pionniers de l'aviation de la 1ère guerre mondiale.

On April 23, 1920, the French-Romanian Air Navigation Company (CFRNA), "Compania Franco-Română de Navigație Aeriană" in Romanian, the first international company for transcontinental air transport of passengers, goods and postal items, was created.
To commemorate the 95th anniversary of the creation of CFRNA, the Romanian Post has released on September 1, 2015, a special cancellation, available at the Bucharest 63 Post Office.
This postmark, featuring a French aircraft "Potez IX", one of the planes used at the time (also with "Potez VII") by this company, driven by leading aviation pioneers of WW1.

Le monument à gauche sur cette enveloppe, situé à l'aéroport de Bucarest, commémore le 90ème anniversaire du 1er vol international transcontinental de l'histoire (Paris - Strasbourg - Prague - Vienne - Budapest - Belgrade - Bucarest - Istanbul), réalisé par la CFRNA le 12 novembre 1922.
Devenue en 1925 la Compagnie Internationale de Navigation Aérienne, cette compagnie est à l'origine des sociétés Air France et TAROM actuelles.
Le timbre ci-dessus (1 L) a été émis le 24 septembre 2012 à l'occasion du 150ème anniversaire de la poste roumaine, fondée en mars 1862 après l'unification des principautés de Valachie et de Moldavie.
La même année, 3 timbres "Principautés Unies" sont émis (valeurs : 3, 6 et 30 parale) arborant les 3 couleurs du drapeau roumain et incluant les signes héraldiques des 2 principautés (l'aigle et le taureau). Ces 3 timbres sont reproduits sur le timbre ci-dessus, incluant également l'emblème actuel de la poste roumaine.
A special envelope was published for the occasion by the Philatelic Association of Bucharest. It is this envelope I was lucky to receive with this special cancellation. Thank you very much Mihnea :-)
The monument to the left on this envelope, located at Bucharest airport, commemorates the 90th anniversary of the first transcontinental international flight in history (Paris - Strasbourg - Prague - Vienna - Budapest - Belgrade - Bucharest - Istanbul), operated by CFRNA on November 12, 1922.
The company became in 1925 the International Air Navigation Company, at the origin of the current companies Air France and TAROM.
The stamp above (1 L) was issued on September 24, 2012 to mark the 150th anniversary of the Romanian Post, founded in March 1862 after the unification of the principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia.
The same year, 3 "United Principalities" stamps were issued (values : 3, 6 and 30 parale) printed using the three colors of the Romanian flag and including the heraldic signs of the two principalities (the eagle and the bull). These three stamps are reproduced on the stamp above, also including the current emblem of the Romanian Post.
