Le 21 janvier 2015, le président de l'Assemblée Nationale a inauguré, dans le Salon des Mariannes au palais Bourbon, une œuvre de JonOne intitulée "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité", inspirée du tableau d'Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863), "La Liberté guidant le peuple" (1830), une des oeuvres les plus célèbres du musée du Louvre à Paris.
Cette œuvre contemporaine se veut un hommage aux fondements de la République française et de la démocratie.
Le 19 septembre 2015, la poste française a mis en circulation en avant-première à Paris (au Carré d'Encre et à l'Assemblée Nationale) un timbre reproduisant cette oeuvre de JonOne.
On January 21, 2015, the President of the French National Assembly inaugurated, in the "Salon des Mariannes" of the Palais Bourbon, a work by JonOne entitled "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity", inspired by the painting by Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863), "Liberty Leading the People" (1830), one of the most famous works of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
This contemporary work of art is a tribute to the foundations of the French Republic and to democracy.
On September 19, 2015, the French Post has issued in preview sale in Paris (at the "Carré d'Encre" and the National Assembly) a stamp reproducing this work by JonOne.

JonOne (né en 1963) est un artiste américain spécialisé dans le street art, installé à Paris depuis 1987. JonOne a choisi de s'inspirer d'une oeuvre symbolisant le combat pour la liberté ainsi que l'espoir et de lui donner pour titre la devise de la république française.
Née avec la Révolution française de 1789, l'Assemblée Nationale (créée en 1798) forme aujourd'hui, avec le Sénat, le parlement français de la Vème République.

Born with the French Revolution of 1789, the National Assembly (created in 1798) forms today with the Senate, the French Parliament of the Fifth Republic.
Cette oeuvre vient ainsi rejoindre à l'Assemblée Nationale de nombreuses autres oeuvres contemporaines (Walter de Maria, Olivier Debré, Hervé di Rosa, Vincent Barré, Maria Papa, Pierre Alechinsky ou Zao Wou Ki).
A noter qu'un timbre consacré à l'Assemblée Nationale avait déjà été émis en 1995 (également en 1998), montrant sa célèbre colonnade, avec également une reproduction de la "La Liberté guidant le peuple" dans le fond.
Et pour rappel, la tête de cette femme brandissant le drapeau français avait inspiré Pierre Gandon pour sa Marianne "Liberté de Gandon" en circulation entre 1982 et 1990.
This work thus comes to the National Assembly where many other contemporary works of art (Walter de Maria, Olivier Debré, Hervé di Rosa, Vincent Barré, Maria Papa, Pierre Alechinsky or Zao Wou Ki) are exhibited.
To note that a stamp dedicated to the National Assembly had already been issued in 1995 (also in 1998), showing its famous colonnade, with also a reproduction of the "Liberty Leading the People" painting in the background.
And as a reminder or for information, the head of the woman waving the French flag had inspired Pierre Gandon to design his "Liberté de Gandon" Marianne definitive stamp, in circulation in France between 1982 and 1990.
